Oak's birthday

Oak turns 3 from bwilberger on Vimeo.

So as you can see, Oak was not very happy about it being her birthday. She mostly didn't like the idea the entire day. She cried when we came in to her room to sing to her, she cried because there were balloons in her room and she cried when brother excitedly told her she is three now. She did get a bit happier as the day progressed, thankfully.
Oak chose donuts for breakfast and we gave her her first gift (the princess crown she wanted), then we had swim lessons, left over pizza for lunch (her choice), then we went and watched Despicable Me 2 (when it was over she looked at me and said, "Mom, that was hilarious!"), then we took her to ToysRUs to buy her a new big girl bike, then she fell asleep on the way home and took a long, late nap once we got home, we had both sets of grandparents over for dinner and cake, she chose pancakes with all the toppings, and she requested a minion cake (which daddy proudly made).

The cute cake daddy made. He always makes the kids' birthday cakes.

Excited about her pancakes.

And excited about her presents.

She was so excited to get some money to go buy a toy.

And she pretty much just ate the faces off the minions. Haha!

And her cute bike. She is still trying to figure out how to use the pedals.
