September in pictures...

We were sending Mac off to Preschool and this is how Oak came to the door.

Mac fell asleep in his door way when he should have been doing quiet time in his room.

Mac is quite the drawer for just being four. He drew these two pictures for his Grandpa's birthday.
This one is an alien ship.

And I was amazed at how great he drew this train. Grandpa framed it and hung it on his wall at home.

Another time he was supposed to be taking a nap and he ended up playing and finally giving in to sleeping in his sleeping bag on the floor in front of the door.

A new year and a growth spurt brought out the next size up for Mac. Thankfully we have been stocking up and we haven't had to go buy anything. He is growing too quickly.

One night all the dishes were dirty, I needed to go grocery shopping and daddy was going to be home late, so we headed to the local DQ.

We had so much fun.

Mac has Taekwondo Monday through Thursday. And we have made some cute and fun friends while watching him. These are Oak's friends she plays with there. Oak, T and J sitting still for a few minutes. One of the coolest things about these girls is that T was also adopted and J's older sister (who does Taekwondo with Mac) was adopted too. How cool is that?!

Park playing on Friday Fun Day!

Oak just being cute!

Oak has figured out how to draw circles and our driveway, chalkboards and all paper are covered in them. It is so adorable!

And although I think she is a bit young, and I have not wanted to even try yet. Oak has shown that SHE is ready and we bit the bullet and we are in the midst of potty training. She is doing great so far, phew!

Happy Friday!

This is what lunch looked like in our house today...
pb&j in a cardboard tent.

Mac is currently laying in it watching a movie.

Gotta love days like this!

First day!

Mac started back up in Preschool on Tuesday. We hadn't talked a bunch about it up until the day before, but he was excited and ready to go once he realized. We tried to make the morning special but everyone was either up too early and/or grumpy it seemed.
I went through his closet when we got back from our trip and weeded out most of his 4T clothes and pulled out of storage his 5T. He is still actually in between sizes it seems.  He has been excited about all his new clothes.

He requested smiley face pancakes with whip cream and chocolate chips and no berries.

His own creation.

It kindof cracks me up when I take pics of Mac hugging Oak. It always looks like he is choking her.

Then his buddy A came running over (his mom is Mac's teacher) to say hi!

He said he had fun and G his teacher said he did great and was calm and listening until close to the end and then he was done.

So happy for him to be in Preschool because he loves it so much and it gives us a chance to get back in to a better daily routine. For now he is only going two days a week but will transition into three days soon.

Family Photos 2012

(So blogger uploaded these in a totally different order than I had uploaded them, weird!)

So I am pretty obsessed with making sure we get family pictures taken every year. Bryce who hates doing them (but loves to have them done)  has learned how important it is to me and he knows that his full cooperation is required without complaint. And he does a great job of that. Mac was awesome while getting pictures taken (because we bribed him!!) and Oak was a bit difficult just because she is wiggly and two and just wants to be doing her own thing.

Family photos make me HAPPY!

ENJOY!
