Christmas Eve

It was so nice to be here with our families this Christmas. We REALLY missed that last year being in Montana with little Mac who was just a week and a half old.
Hubs's family always does their entire Christmas, Christmas Eve. It really works out great for splitting our time between families. It was late for Mac and he only had a really short nap earlier, so he was a bit grumpy and very serious. We had a great time and loved the chaos of 10 adults and 8 little ones opening presents galore! There was a massive amount of gifts under the tree. And Mac and both Hubs and I were very spoiled.

Obviously Mac didn't want to be in the picture. He actually hates sitting on laps.

Just getting the gift Santa left him on the door step. It is a remote control car (it's age appropriate).

He had more fun playing with the wheel's on his cousin, Sam's new bike.

And this isn't his toy, he actually got a different one. But his cousin Gavin stole it and refused to give back to Mac. We were going to trade but I guess in the end they talked Gavin into keeping his own ride on toy. It was really funny to watch the whole thing.

Mac opening a present from his cousins.

I thought he looked like such a big boy standing there. He was looking at the the dog Benji.

Playing with the tree ornaments.

The aftermath! WOW!

Mac isn't very good about smiling for camera's when we take a family shot.

a bowling tradition...

C, H, Mak, G, A, Mac, M, S
Hubs's family has always done some sort of activity Christmas Eve day. And since we have been married (almost 8 years now) it has turned into bowling every Christmas Eve. Everyone loves it, including the little kids. I took a picture of the kids like this a couple of years ago, and we have a few more added this year. It took me about 15 shots to get this one and still not everyone is looking, oh well!

Christmas Day

Mmmm, my baby boy is beautiful! Love those eyes!
(I am also loving this PS action that make my pictures look old, so fun for Christmas pictures!)

Mac likes to put things in his mouth and just hold them there. His new blocks are no exception.

Helping put away the Christmas lights.

Classic!
See all the toys in the background?
And he is playing with a plastic insert from one of his toys.
Why did we get him toys anyway?!

I got him a little baseball cap, and he refuses to keep it on! It makes me sad because he looks so cute in it.

Grandpa got him a little truck that looks like Grandpa's truck. Mac loved it! He loved opening and closing the doors and the hood and the tailgate. He really liked shoving his blocks in the cab.

Of course playing with the wheels of red wagon. Mac can actually say the word wheel, except that he usually can't say it just once. "wheel, wheel, wheel"

This picture just looks so vintage, I love it!

The RED Wagon!

Mac LOVES to be pulled around in his wagon. He sits in it holding both sides and makes his vrooming sounds. He also loves to play with the wheels and the handle when he is not in it. Sometimes he will even push it around. I can't wait for the weather to get nicer so we can take some fun walks in it. I am also going to have a fun time taking pictures of him in it.

Look what Mac got...

amongst a million other wonderful things!

S.W...

So Mac is well once again. We are pretty sure that it was Roseola. He had had a fever the whole week before the spots showed up. I kept blaming the fever on teething only because I didn't know why else he would have a fever. He also ended up with a little cough, and irritated eyes, which are also both symptoms of Roseola along with the fever. The spots are completely gone as of yesterday. I am just so glad that it was not chicken pox.
We ended up driving to S.H. Saturday afternoon so that we could go to church with my parents on Sunday. My mom had been bugging me about that, because she wanted to show off Mac to everyone at church. She was also called to be a counselor in the Relief Society Presidency and we wanted to be there for that.
We were planning on driving home tonight or tomorrow morning, but it has started to snow and stick, so I don't know.
These are just some pictures from my parents house.

Watching the snow out the window.

Actually eating some food, and he liked it, a rare sight!

Playing in grandma's kitchen.

Playing with the tree ornaments.

Snuggling with Daddy, also a rare sight!

Just before church, my boys in their white shirts.

Please tell me this is NOT Chicken Pox!!

PLEASE NO!!!

He had a doctors appointment yesterday afternoon and there was not one spot on him. Last night when I was changing his clothes he noticed a few of them, and thought it was odd. Then this afternoon I noticed that there were alot more spots then before.
He hasn't been around any kids really. But who knows!
I really don't want to have to miss Christmas with our families because of this!
***UPDATE***
Ok, so I think it may actually be Roseola.
Which I think is better than the Chicken Pox.

playing in the snow!

We got more snow, so I decided I would dig up some winter outerwear and we headed out to play in the yard.
He just sat there after I got him all dressed, I don't think he knew what to do with so many layers on.

He lost his glove and then started crying because he didn't like touching the cold snow.

Some how I got a decent picture of the both of us.

He mostly just crawled in it. He wasnt to inthrawled with it.

ONE YEAR or 12 months...

Weight: 21 lbs 2 oz. (25%)
Height: 30.2 in (70%)

Mac had his exam yesterday. It was supposed to be Monday, but the weather kept us from getting there on time. So we had to reschedule. And we didn't get to see his actual doctor because she is scheduled out two months in advance. So we saw her Nurse Practitioner. Which I love also. Anyway, as far as Mac's development, he is right on. And I haven't had any worries about that. But his eating shenanigans is another story. The NP told me not to worry to much about it, because this age tends to get picky and not eat as much. She also said that we can give him soy milk. So as soon as I can get to the story I will start transitioning him to that. He is also facing forward in his car seat. Some things Mac has done recently that I haven't recorded yet is: he learned to climb up on a step stool that is helping block the kitchen. He only gets on his hands and knees so he kept on slipping off. Slipping off made him mad so he shoved the stool and realized that it moved. He got excited and figured out how to totally move it so he could escape to the kitchen. He was pretty proud of himself. So another wards I had to go to the garage to drag in another Rubbermaid tote to fix the hole in my makeshift gate. He hasn't figured out how to move those yet. He has also started to bark and sign dog when he sees dogs now, so cute. He like to bully his Elmo LIVE. I got him to eat diced peaches last week and he loved them, but a no go this week. Operation bottle to sippy only lasted a few days. By Friday he was so fussy and I felt bad, so I gave him bottles all day to help comfort his pain. Also, not drinking so much during the day, made him want more in the middle of the night, and I couldn't take it anymore. I was tired. So we will try again soon. He is teething another molar and a top tooth. And it hasn't been fun. But we love the boy anyway. Mac is really such a joy, and we love him to pieces!

Ummm...

CUTE!!!

The Birthday Party!

The pictures are a little out of order, sorry!
We had a very little birthday party for Mac on Sunday, his birthday. It was only my parents and Hubs's parents there. Because of weather and other obligations the rest of the family couldn't come. Although some family friends came a little bit later. But it was fun and cute none-the-less. Mac surprised me by actually eating his cupcake. This boy is so picky and doesn't eat anything, but he loved it! He also made a very good mess with is. He wouldn't wear his birthday crown, and he wouldn't even keep it on long enough for me to take a picture. Hubs ended up making and decorating the cake. I LOVED how it turned out. We did a truck theme, because this boy LOVES trucks and anything with wheels. I also made the birthday sign, and we will put it up for all of our birthdays. Mac got some fun presents. He got a fun ELMO Live. He thinks it is funny and he likes to stick his fingers in Elmo's mouth when it is moving. We all actually loved the Elmo. He actually got a lot of fun things that he has constantly played with since Sunday. It was fun to celebrate Mac turning one and I can't wait until he is two and Mac will know a little bit more what is going on.
