our week (out of town)...

These photos are from our week after Hubs and I got back from our little trip.

On her own, getting ready for bed at grandma Wilma's.

The next day we headed to Hub's parents house an hour away.
We played a few games of Battle Ship.

The pouring rain stopped and the sun and warmth came out long enough for us to go out and enjoy. I practically had to make my kids get wet and muddy. They were done with it after a few minutes. I made them play for at least 30 minutes. They did have a ton of fun and it was fun to watch them.

Grandma had been on her feet all day from work and had to elevate her foot (that she had surgery on in February) because it was swollen.

The next morning we didn't have anything to do and so we did alot of playing. We spent at least an hour playing dragons, princesses and knights. Then at one point daddy and Oak chased each other wearing pink capes. It was really cute!

A bit more dress up.

There was plenty of Wii playing since we don't have any video games at our house.

We went and watched Sherman and Mr. Peabody at the cheap theater.

While we were on our trip Grandpa bought this hat for Mac. I love it because when I was a little girl I wanted a black Firebird with a gold firebird on the hood.

Oak with her birth mom. We had a great visit with Oak's birth family.

Before bed Mac insisted we play a few rounds of tic tac toe.

The next morning we all headed over to my brother-in-laws house so Hubs could help cut up some trees that they were cutting down and so we could hang out with grandma and baby E while her mommy was at work.

She was a bit fussy so we were trying all sorts of positions to make her happy.

Daddy taking a break from sawing.

Uncle Spen gave the kids a ride on his new toy. He even let them steer it.

So this was the second of the trees they had taken down and it was huge. We were all watching it fall.

here it is falling down. It made a loud sound. It was cool to watch.

Me snuggling with baby E. I caught a smile while she was sleeping.

My sexy hubs sawing branches off the tree. We actually had to leave to head back to k falls before they were finished with this tree.

My kids love the little tree swing at Uncle Spen's. Oak didn't like how uneasy she felt on it so I would sit on it and then have her do spider legs around me and we would swing together. She loved that.

She actually spent a great deal of time picking flowers.

When we got home from our trip the kids had a package waiting for them with these cool Frozen buttons in them.

During church Mac all on his own wrote out these equations. He is so loving math right now.

And the mess we brought back with us.
Now we get to spend our week moving from this apartment to a townhouse.
We are excited for the space and for the kids to be able run around freely without worrying about noise.

Anniversary trip

Hubs and I were able to get away to celebrate our anniversary and end of busy season. It has been almost two years since we have gone away together without our kids. It was much MUCH needed!
Hubs actually started not feeling good a couple of days before we left and ended up with a a bad headcold. He could not breath at all. I am pretty sure we made about five trips to the store to find something to make him more comfortable and to be able to sleep. I felt so bad for him. Also the weather was hit and miss. We took some naps, we went out to eat, we went and watched Captain America at the movies, we finally were able to get down to the beach when it wasn't high tide and pouring down rain. It was very relaxing and wonderful to just spend time with Hubs without being distracted with life.

The day we were to head home Hubs had a telemeeting he had to call in on. I thought he looked so handsome sitting there working. As soon as his meeting was over we headed to the Temple.

It felt amazing to be in the Temple with my Hubs. It had been way too long. While inside I just had the most overwhelming feeling that I truly am a daughter of God. It was a great reminder.

I am so grateful to my parents who watched our kids while we were gone.

Easter

We wanted to spend the holiday weekend with our families. We left after Hubs got off work friday and headed up. Then we spent all Saturday doing our "fun" easter traditions with my parents. The Easter bunny came, we went to an egg hunt, we dyed eggs. It was a fun day. Easter SUnday we went to my parents ward then headed to my sister-in-laws house for dinner. My parents came with us. We had a fun egg hunt at their house. My pics for that are on my nice camera. Then my parents took our kids back to their house and Hubs and I left on our trip to the coast.

After we got home from the egg hunt we found out that someone was going to be coming to look at my parents house (it is up for sale) with in a couple of hours. So we got the house ready then left for lunch. Which didn't take long enough so we just drove around for awhile and the kids fell asleep in the car. We had to wake them up when we got home and they were still tired. Oak came in and just layed on the floor for a bit but Mac layed down on the couch and fell back to sleep and slept for nearly three more hours.

Little goofballs.
