Mac funnies {Sept to Dec 2010}

3 year well check up

It has been way too long since I have posted some of Mac's famous funnies! ENJOY!!
*When we started full force potty training Mac we got him some Thomas the Tank Engine underwear. We told him that Thomas would be upset if he peed on him. So when Mac would have an accident instead of running to the bathroom he would run to our room to the full length mirror and say "I want to see if Thomas is cross!" and look at his bottom in the mirror.

*We were walking to our car and a motorcycle drove by and Mac said "That smells like a grandpa car!" And indeed the fumes smelled just like Grandpa Dicks old Model A Ford.

*Mac went #2 on the potty and he said "That was one stinky poop!"

*Pointing to his wrist, "mama, my watch says 24, it's time to go to school!"

*Telling about something that happened to him earlier that he was not happy about, "My happy face was ruined, and then I started to cry!" (talking about the smile on his face)

*I went to go get him out of the nursery to take him potty. He turned to his teacher and said very matter of factly, "I am going to go potty, I will be right back!"

*We were naming people that we know and Mac was telling us whether they are a boy or girl. I asked him what his best buddy "J" (our neighbor) was and he said "My best friend!" (Totally melted me!)

*We had been invited to someones house for dinner and on the way home Daddy was telling Mac what a good boy he was for picking up his toys. Mac corrected Daddy and said that they weren't HIS toys they were THEIR toys. I started laughing because our two year old was correcting Daddy's grammar and then Mac says "Mommy, your a crack up!!"

*He must of bitten his tongue when he was eating and he started whimpering a little. I asked him what was wrong and he said "I ate my mouth!"

*Mac had an accident with #2 in his underwear and Daddy cleaned it up. He washed the underwear in the toilet before putting them in the washer. Mac was watching this because he was taking a bath. The next day, Mac had peed his pants and ran to the bathroom, I was doing something else and all of a sudden here the toilet flush. I ran to the bathroom to see what was going on and I found Mac with  no underwear on and a soak and wet pair of underwear on the counter with the floor all wet. He looked at me and said I peed my pants and cleaned my underwear in the toilet. I wanted to cry and laugh all at the same time. Lucky for Mac I just laughed about it.

*We were watching a movie where a guy got hurt while milking a cow. Mac was recounting the story for us and said, "Nember (remember) when that guy was pooping the cow?"

*I was making pancakes for dinner and asked Mac if he wanted to help. He said, "Mama you go sit at the table and I will make the pancakes!"

*Oak had some sores that we were putting medicine on and Mac wanted to watch. He then says to her in the sweetest, caring voice, "I am sorry Oak, I don't have the tools to fix your owie."

*Hubs was getting ready for work and Mac was following him around and talking to, him. All of a sudden I hear Mac say to his daddy, "..."You are perfect to me...you are my best pal!"

*When we got home one night, I told Mac I had a headache. When we walked in the door Mac told me to go sit on the couch and he would help me feel better and that he would go and make me some hot chocolate. He took care of me the rest of the night (Hubs was gone that evening). Oh how I love when my boy is sweet and loving...it makes the holy terror moments so worth it!

* (my room is a disaster most of the time. i decided to clean it one day because i had asked Mac to clean his and was feeling like a hypocrite.) Mac walks into my room when i was done cleaning it and acted shocked... "mama what happened to your room?"

*(Mac was playing with my hair and not very gently.) Mama: "Mac that hurts!" Mac: "It's ok Mommy, you don't need to freak!"

*Mac's prayer one night "Thank you for everybody and Mater...Amen" (At least he finally willing to start saying something else besides "bless the food" in his prayers).

Christmas 2010

PART 1

Love how Mac is holding Oak's foot in the picture below.

Christmas was so awesome this year. Mac was so into it and was just so much fun with it all. And having our second little miracle helped to make it an awesome year. The first of the month was crazy busy and I was starting to get worried that I over scheduled our little family and it would be hard to enjoy the true meaning and also to get to reflect on our first miracle that happened 3 years ago.
But thankfully we ended up having nothing going on once Mac birthday festivities subsided. Mac and Oak will be lucky enough to enjoy three Christmas's every year. This is our first one, which was our own little family Christmas. We woke up Christmas Eve morning to celebrate with just us four. We were able to do all of our gift for each other. And we filled the kids stockings. We always keep it simple since they get a TON from both grandparents.

Mac showing us is stocking

We got him mostly games and puzzles since we knew he would be getting a ton of toys. This is one of his favorite puzzles. It has four wooden puzzles with his favorite movies. He is so good at puzzles and it is one of the times he is the most calm and concentrated. He can do 24 pieces puzzles with out any help. And also he loves to do them.

Oak with her loot. She didn't get much, because she didn't need much.

Oak with her stocking. My Aunt has made all of these stockings for us as we have added to our family. I had one before we got married. She made one for Hubs for our wedding gift. She made one for Mac and my parents  brought it when they came for Christmas after he was born. And then she made one for Oak and we got it just before Christmas. They will always mean alot to our family.
That goofy boy! love him!

A "Baby's first Christmas ornament". Just what she always wanted.

PART 2

Hubs's family's tradition of bowling Christmas Eve. I really love that we do this every year. Mac was even old enough to have his own turn and also to enjoy it. He loved it! He loved carrying the ball to the ramp all by himself.

Katherine (on the left) came to visit for Christmas. She was Hubs's parent's foreign exchange student when Hubs and I had just been married a year. She is the nicest girl and we had so much fun visiting with her.

We always get a grandkid picture after we are done bowling. And Mac wanted NOTHING to do with getting his picture taken. And I forgot to turn my flash on so the picture is doubly awful. I really don't remember how we got him to sit there because as you can tell from the pictures he was NOT happy about it.

My niece A with O. The little girl all fight over who gets to hold her next, it is so cute!

PART 3

This was our Christmas (Eve) with Hubs's family. I am sad I didn't take more pictures. And even more sad that I didn't get any of us acting out the Nativity. Hubs and I were Mary and Joseph and Oak was Jesus. But then Mac pooped in his underwear and Hubs and I went and cleaned it up while everyone else finished up. They even took the traditional family picture in costume without us. Well Oak was in it.

Above baby T is loving on Oak.

Hubs's mom wanted a picture of all the grandkids in front of the tree. Again Mac did NOT want to be in the picture. I told him Oak really needed him to hold her hand and then he was somewhat willing.
Cousins(back row): T(20 months), H(11), C (13), McK(11), A(9), Oak(4 months), M(8)

The Buzz Lightyear he wanted and asked Santa for!

What Oak got from Santa.

Showing Grandpa G

We let him sleep with Buzz that night. After Mac fell asleep I put it on the floor next to the bed so that he wouldn't roll on top of it. When I checked on him in the night it was back in bed with him. So cute!

PART 4

div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This was Christmas at my parents house. We got up really early Christmas morning and drove the hour and 15 minutes to their house to spend Christmas with them. My parents SO spoiled the kids. In fact my parents go them so many gift they got tired of wrapping them and most were not wrapped at all. So funny!
I made and we ate our traditional Christmas morning omelette's. YUM! And my mom made her always amazing turkey dinner. We were also able to spend a few days there and also we took one day and Hubs and I left the kids with my parents while we went and did a session at the Temple.
It really was a perfect and wonderful Christmas.

You gotta eat the paper when your a baby, right?

Oh Christmas Tree 2010

I think that this was my favorite year that we have gotten a Christmas tree. First off it felt like we had no time to actually go and do our annual tree getting. And we usually go with my parents but we couldn't make that happen either. I hate when the holidays are way too busy. But one Saturday in between some other things we had going on we headed to the local tree farm in the POURING DOWN RAIN. We got all dressed in our warm and waterproof clothes. And brought the only umbrella we own, which fits one person. And to be honest it was cold, wet and muddy and we have never had so much fun, seriously. Mac loved jumping in the mud then wiping gobbs of mud on our pants. Oak didn't make a peep, happy as a clam the whole time. When we first walked out in to the field that had the noble firs I saw one immediately that I liked (although I wish that they didn't make them so full and manicured). Hubs didn't like it so we kept looking for a little bit. Then I finally decided to go back to that original tree I found and we decided that we liked that one the best. Hubs went to go get someone to cut it down for us. And I stayed and held our nearly 20 lb baby girl with one hand and the umbrella over her with the other (her clothes were not waterproof). I had to adjust her every couple of minutes because she kept slipping out of my arm. The guy drove by in his little jeep thingy and said he would be with us in a little while. I was a little confused when there were so many people who could help us and then he drove away. So then he comes back by after a little while and and gets out to help us and then someone calls him and he gets back in his little jeep and doesn't help us again. Then a little while later he passes us by and went and got someone else further out. Meanwhile I am standing by our tree holding a baby in the POURING DOWN RAIN. I chalked it up to the fact that he was a 15 year old boy who didn't understand my circumstances. But to be honest we thought that it was hilarious and Hubs and I just kept laughing about it. Then after about 20 minutes of waiting for this kid to help us someone else runs out to help us cut it down. I wasn't going to ask anyone to take a picture of us because it was raining but after waiting that long I decided that could manage. We went home muddy, soaked and honestly happy! I love making memories!

And the finished product!

Family Pictures 2010

My new friend Kristen Moss took our family pictures. She is the coolest lady, and an amazing photographer (somehow we had all these pictures turn despite my VERY non cooperative 3 year old). We have a ton in common, including red headed, toddler boys, baby girls just about the same age and photography. We have already had a play date and I had so much fun talking with her. She is also incredibly nice, you can what sweet things she said about us here. I love looking at these pictures! I really could stare at them all day. And I think the thing I love about them the most is that I am in them. I love that I have pictures of me and Bryce, and me and McCoy, and me and Oaklee. And this picture below is my all time favorite family photo of us of all time!
