Christmas 2010

PART 1

Love how Mac is holding Oak's foot in the picture below.

Christmas was so awesome this year. Mac was so into it and was just so much fun with it all. And having our second little miracle helped to make it an awesome year. The first of the month was crazy busy and I was starting to get worried that I over scheduled our little family and it would be hard to enjoy the true meaning and also to get to reflect on our first miracle that happened 3 years ago.
But thankfully we ended up having nothing going on once Mac birthday festivities subsided. Mac and Oak will be lucky enough to enjoy three Christmas's every year. This is our first one, which was our own little family Christmas. We woke up Christmas Eve morning to celebrate with just us four. We were able to do all of our gift for each other. And we filled the kids stockings. We always keep it simple since they get a TON from both grandparents.

Mac showing us is stocking

We got him mostly games and puzzles since we knew he would be getting a ton of toys. This is one of his favorite puzzles. It has four wooden puzzles with his favorite movies. He is so good at puzzles and it is one of the times he is the most calm and concentrated. He can do 24 pieces puzzles with out any help. And also he loves to do them.

Oak with her loot. She didn't get much, because she didn't need much.

Oak with her stocking. My Aunt has made all of these stockings for us as we have added to our family. I had one before we got married. She made one for Hubs for our wedding gift. She made one for Mac and my parents  brought it when they came for Christmas after he was born. And then she made one for Oak and we got it just before Christmas. They will always mean alot to our family.
That goofy boy! love him!

Oak wanting to know what is in her stocking.

A "Baby's first Christmas ornament". Just what she always wanted.

Oak opening the gift Mac got her.

PART 2

Hubs's family's tradition of bowling Christmas Eve. I really love that we do this every year. Mac was even old enough to have his own turn and also to enjoy it. He loved it! He loved carrying the ball to the ramp all by himself.

Katherine (on the left) came to visit for Christmas. She was Hubs's parent's foreign exchange student when Hubs and I had just been married a year. She is the nicest girl and we had so much fun visiting with her.

We always get a grandkid picture after we are done bowling. And Mac wanted NOTHING to do with getting his picture taken. And I forgot to turn my flash on so the picture is doubly awful. I really don't remember how we got him to sit there because as you can tell from the pictures he was NOT happy about it.

My niece A with O. The little girl all fight over who gets to hold her next, it is so cute!

PART 3

This was our Christmas (Eve) with Hubs's family. I am sad I didn't take more pictures. And even more sad that I didn't get any of us acting out the Nativity. Hubs and I were Mary and Joseph and Oak was Jesus. But then Mac pooped in his underwear and Hubs and I went and cleaned it up while everyone else finished up. They even took the traditional family picture in costume without us. Well Oak was in it.

Above baby T is loving on Oak.

Hubs's mom wanted a picture of all the grandkids in front of the tree. Again Mac did NOT want to be in the picture. I told him Oak really needed him to hold her hand and then he was somewhat willing.
Cousins(back row): T(20 months), H(11), C (13), McK(11), A(9), Oak(4 months), M(8)
front row: G(3.5), S(5.5), Mac(3)

The Buzz Lightyear he wanted and asked Santa for!

What Oak got from Santa.

Showing Grandpa G

We let him sleep with Buzz that night. After Mac fell asleep I put it on the floor next to the bed so that he wouldn't roll on top of it. When I checked on him in the night it was back in bed with him. So cute!

PART 4

This was Christmas at my parents house. We got up really early Christmas morning and drove the hour and 15 minutes to their house to spend Christmas with them. My parents SO spoiled the kids. In fact my parents go them so many gift they got tired of wrapping them and most were not wrapped at all. So funny!
I made and we ate our traditional Christmas morning omelette's. YUM! And my mom made her always amazing turkey dinner. We were also able to spend a few days there and also we took one day and Hubs and I left the kids with my parents while we went and did a session at the Temple.
It really was a perfect and wonderful Christmas.

You gotta eat the paper when your a baby, right?

Grandpa and Mac watching the train around the tree.
