Easter Festivities!!

We did most of our Easter fun stuff on Saturday. I really love doing it this way...

The Easter bunny came Saturday morning. Mac was so excited!

And Oak loved chewing on everything of course.

The kids with their loot, and Mac itching his elbow I think, haha!
I love the easter baskets the Easter bunny chose.

Then we were off to our local Easter Egg Hunt, the weather was so nice! And really we didn't need coats at all!

Waiting for the hunt to start!

Ready...Set...GO!!

His goods!

And a short visit with the Easter Bunny! When we walked away from him, Mac said, "He was great! I like him!"

The bunny rode in "in style"! He came in the fire truck!

And then a little playing before we came home so Daddy could work on whipping our backyard into shape.

We also colored Easter eggs. Mac did great with it and had alot of fun!

After church on Sunday we went to Hubs's parents house for dinner. Everyone but his oldest sister's family was there. Hubs's little sister who is at BYU in Provo was home just for the weekend and was leaving the next day for London Study Abroad for two months. So it was great to see her before she leaves.

I thought that this face was so funny!

I found him sitting by himself in the kitchen playing with this bird and just thought he looked so cute and big!

Hubs spent alot of time trying to get Oak to take a nap. And no, he isn't asleep, he is just looking at her.
When she woke up she was pretty grumpy and wanted no one but me to hold her. It was so cute!

And of course Aunt J and her girl!

Oak {8.5 months}

Oak has started doing so many things in the last two weeks that I wanted to make sure I get them down before I forget...

*She gives kisses now! She would just kiss me, but now she is moving on to other people too. When I was reading her a book of nursery rhymes, we got to the page with Humpty Dumpty and she kissed him. SO CUTE!

*She is army crawling and getting quite fast. When she sees something she wants she is there in no time! She rarely rolls anymore and is always setting herself up when she wants to sit and play.

*She would much rather play with things that are NOT real toys. Her favorites are the remotes and necklaces.

*She loves to look at books or anything with pictures. And will study the pictures for a long time.

*She has become quite clingy and is a total Mama's girl. Which I don't hate! She would prefer me to hold her especially when she is grumpy or tired.

*And the one that I don't like...she likes to scream for fun. It is ear piercing and pretty close to window shattering!!!

I pretty much can't get enough of him!!!

The Coast...

After the Aquarium we stopped at the beach and the weather was pretty good, but we didn't stay very long. Daddy got right to work on building a little fort for Mac. I was pretty impressed with Hubs's fort building skills. It was an awesome day just spent as a family and just what we needed after a long busy tax season. (We even met another little family that happened to be LDS and the dad is an accountant.)

Aquarium

Hubs took Friday off and we headed to the coast. The Aquarium was our first stop!! Mac was so stinkin cute and couldn't see everything fast enough. He was running from one thing to the next, exclaiming he wanted to see more. So we pretty much saw everything twice! My favorite was the anaconda, it was crazy huge, although I am sure not as big as some get. Mac's favorites were the sting ray, and the giant crab and the jelly fish. He also really loved the touch pool.
