Just lots of stuff...

The kids are always happy to see grandma and grandpa's dog Benji.

Mac taking selfies with grandma

So we thought we would try Pizza Hut's Book It! program. The kids are excited.

Homework outside with Gloria the chicken.

Mac lost his first molar.

He doesn't usually just sit down to read a chapter book unless I ask him to. But I always find it a beautiful sight.

We do science on Thursdays and the kids had fun learning about how their hearts pump blood. We danced to fell our pulses go faster.

I have been surprised by how much the kids go out and play even when it is cold. We have nothing fun in the back yard like a swing, play house or trampoline. Just chickens and an apple tree. But they still love it.

She just looked so cute.

Some milk spilled in the fridge so I was forced to clean it. It took a good hour but it looked so nice. And obviously I was planning on grocery shopping when I was done.

Loved comparing these. The kids thought it was awkward to pose the same way.

Oak has really been into ballet. I found a YouTube video for her to do.

Mac loves to look at pictures and draw it. He is actually pretty good at it too. He saw this cartoon in a hunting magazine.

She cracks me up with her wardrobe sometimes. We are on an average of three clothes changes a day.

A new dress from grandma C. It's a bit short for my tall girl so she will have to wear leggings underneath it.

I got her a new ballet outfit because her pink one was getting too small and I planned on getting her a black leotard anyway for her bat halloween costume.

A fun trip up north...

We have amazing neighbors and we love to give them our abundance when we can. We give them eggs weekly and we gave them a zucchini out of our garden then she shows up on our doorstep with a chocolate zucchini cake made from our eggs and zucchini. And I am not much for cake but it was GOOOOOD.

We went to a high priest activity (because my Mister is a high priest) and they had this fun swing that the kids played on forever.

This was my breakfast after a very rough morning with my kids. I locked myself in my room and cried and ate cake. It helped.

Then I decided to give my kids two options. Go outside and play or stay in the house and do extra chores. If they fought outside they would come in a do chores. They chose outside.

I bought some beginner piano lessons on line. We have really been enjoying them.

Oak chose to have a dance party in our pjs with glow sticks for her "stay up late night".

She found a praying mantis in the garage and wanted to sleep with it. We talked her into letting it go so it could live.

I'm 37 and I have a full head of gray hair. Ugh! I am not ready to embrace it so I dye my hair obviously.

We went up to Portland to visit our good friends that moved away from K Falls. These two are forever best buddies.

I went to my friend's Stake service project where we helped make sanitary kits for girls in countries where they don't have feminine products available to them.

We also went black berry picking at a local farm. These were thornless black berries and they were so great to pick. However being in them gave Mac an asthma attack. Thank goodness we have an inhaler now and it helped almost immediately.

The kids had so much fun together.

We made this delicious dessert a pear stuffed with chocolate and wrapped with pie dough. Yum!

We brought our Beaver shirts to wear so they other kids had to put on their Duck gear. I loved it!

Zonked with in minutes of driving in the car.

We also went to my Uncle's annual corn feed. It was so fun to spend time with cousins.

Oak and my Aunt and Uncle in their overalls.

hiking and the fair...

Her sweatshirt and water bottle matched!

Daddy making homemade vanilla ice cream.

My cowboy eating cake and ice cream.

On Labor Day we decided to go hiking. It is one of my favorite things to do.

I let Mac use our old instant camera. He had to stop and take photo every two seconds.

This hike is called table rock for a reason. This is at the top.

Oak was so good during the hike and never complained. She has not always loved hiking.

Throwing a fit because I asked her to fold some towels. She was having a rough day in general.

Shucking corn from OUR garden.

Read a loud outside with Gloria.

This girl loves her chicken and a day doesnt go by that she is loving on her.

This seems to be a reaccuring thing with Mac. We take him to do something fun and he is pouting about something that isn't going his way in regards to it. This time it was we were taking him to the fair. I can't remember why he was whining before we left.

We love the free pony rides at the fair.

The pre-purchased ride wrist bands are the way to go no doubt.

Our fair has a parade.

This girl likes to be warm and cozy.
