Kind of a boring week...

Mac wanted to paint his sister's toe nails.

We got home from church and Gloria was filthy. Apparently Sunday is bathing day.

Oak loves to make things like this. I'm always impressed.

They accidentally matched one day. It was actually really cute and makes them look even more like twins than they already do.

This was my favorite game growing up and Oak has finally figured it out. yay!

We had a super lazy day where we pretty much didn't do anything but watch cartoons the whole day and didn't get dressed until the afternoon. However I did make...

Pancakes for breakfast which I rarely do because we usually have them for dinner.

Somedays the chickens lay in separate boxes and other days they all like the same one.

I guess a few weeks ago some kid at the park told Mac he had girl eyelashes (he has really long eyelashes) and this day I guess he was thinking about it and it got him thinking about cutting them. Ugh! Thankfully they grow back and he told me before I figured it out.

I was going to take the kids to the splash pad but Mac got in trouble so it was an Oak and me date to the splash pad.

She kept trying to get dumped but always was staying in the wrong spot. Maybe on purpose?

My cute girl! love spending one on one time with her.

A beautiful evening bike ride.

Mac has been wearing his cowboy hat a lot lately and usually very randomly.

lake and river...

Enjoying a few minutes next to the Mister on a Sunday afternoon since we don't get to sit next to him or really see him at church anymore. He was exhausted and fell asleep.

They were putting on a pioneer play for us.

When neither of the kids will own up to something one of them have done I always refer to my third child named "I didn't do it Not me". So they decided to make this third child real.

I have hated the way this wall was done since we have moved in. It had textured wall paper that was painted over and with a really bad spot painting job on it. I woke up feeling like tackling a project and this was it. Since then I havent done anything with it because I keep changing my mind. However we have supplies and paint.

An evening walk in our "neighborhood"

She loves her chickens. They were pecking at the strings hanging from her cut off pants. She was cracking up.

I made a little gallery wall in Oaks room. I loved how it turned out.

We found one of our chickens limping. We couldn't find anything wrong with it and it eventually healed thank goodness.

We spent a great day at the Lake of the Woods with a friend.

This sweet lady doesn't live in our town but Lake of the Woods is half way between her town and ours. She was good friends with my Mister's little sister (who passed away 12 years ago) and we have become friends. Every summer she gets a big group of her friends together at the lake and always invites me. I have to say she has a great group of friends too.

I found my cabbage patch from when I was a little girl. I love that I had a red head doll as a kid and now have two red heads. Oak is loving and adoring her now.

He came and got in bed with me one morning and then fell back to sleep. His sleeping has been wacko lately.

Being goofy as we were getting ready for our day.

We met some homeschool friends at the park for free lunch and playing.

It been hot so I have been making some frozen ice fruit treats for the girls when our fruit and berries go bad. They love it if you couldn't tell.

I finally found an air popper that I like. Most of them are so corny now that I was excited to find just a plain air popper.

I found her in bed like this.

Every summer we head to a river and let daddy fish while we play in the river. We literally went into the middle of nowhere and it was beautiful but the bugs were SO annoying and I was afraid a bear of cougar would eat us the whole time.

The kids had a blast.

And then the other part of our tradition is to stop at the one and only gas station in the middle of nowhere and get ice cream bars. I love making memories like this with my family.

Eggs, eggs, chickens, eggs and a trolley...

A good long time friend called and said she was going to stop by on her way home to Vegas and the kids had been begging to make fruit kabobs so it seemed like a good opportunity. They were yummy!

The kids have been obsessed with bats. So here they are practicing I guess.

We found our first chicken egg. It was on the ground because the chickens didn't have access to the coop that day. The week we kept the chickens in the coop until about 10am so that they would lay their eggs in the nesting boxes.

A girl and her chicken.

Apparently this is the happening place when you are a chicken. It must be cool.

Leaving the chickens in the coop for the morning helped because we found our second egg in the nesting box.

Oak was showing off her crooked pinky so we could send it to her aunt who is also part of the cool crooked pinky club.

My mom and I made dilly beans. The house smelled so good!

The kids hanging out with Gloria.

Yes, that is Gloria wrapped in a blanket.

Oak lost her fifth tooth. One day it was so loose and literally hanging by a thread but she wouldn't let anyone touch it or pull it and she wouldn't eat anything because it hurt. She pretty much whined and cried all day and made everyone miserable. So thanks to the advice from my SIL I went in after she fell asleep and flicked it out with out her waking up. Thankfully she wasn't mad and was so excited when she woke up and realized it was gone.

My hot hubby working on the chicken run. I love to watch him work.

The kids made a little house for Gloria.

Me and my boy!

Our first four eggs top to bottom.

I had been wanting to take my mom and husband on the trolley historical tour of the town we live in and we were finally able to do it.

Oak making scrambled eggs with our new chicken eggs.
