"vroom"...

Mac LOVES cars and trucks! Every time he hears one go by our house he says "vroom". He LOVES to be on the couch looking out the window at all the loud vehicles that go by.
(He has finally got the hint to not touch the blinds, thank goodness.)
I LOVE having a boy, and this kid is ALL BOY!!
side note: he says "k-k" when he says truck

his favorite book...

This is usually his favorite book for us to read to him. He now will sit and listen to a whole book without turning all the pages. And when we read a book, it has to be read to him at least 5 times. It is so cute, when we finish he takes the book and then hands it back to us. Sometimes he will go back and forth between Hubs and I, he will take the book from me and go take it to daddy then daddy reads it and he takes it from him and gives it back to me to read. What a funny kid!

what to do while i am 30...

I turn 30 years old next month! I decided I needed to make a list of things to accomplish during the year that I am 30. I made this list pretty quickly, so I may change a few things here and there up until my birthday.

L.O.V.E

As I was sitting at home tonight alone. I was just thinking about how much I love these two boys! Seriously! I could never live without either of them. I am so glad that I have them both forever!
Hubs is really truly my best friend, and I have been having a hard time lately not getting to see him or even be around him much. I can't wait until after April 15th when I get my hubby back (well except for Sundays).
And my sweet, spunky little boy! He melts my heart! I love that I get to spend everyday, all day with him. He is the funniest little man and his personality is to die for! I really need to do a "things Mac" post very soon. I have a ton of stuff written down of some of the funny things he has done lately. I just so love being his mom, even though it is really hard some days. It is all worth it!
I just was feeling alot of love for my boys and just had to put my thoughts somewhere!

almost normal...

We are slowly but surely getting back to normal. I feel like I have my energy back and I'm not dragging myself around to get this and that done. Mac is feeling better. But being sick has totally thrown him off his normal routine, and we are both trying to get our grips on that. Today was actually our best day so far in exactly a week (since Mac puked for the first time). Thankfully Hubs did not get it. He really wasn't home enough to catch it. We are just glad to be back to life, although I really don't feel like blogging much. I have alot I need to post about for journaling purposes. Hopefully I will feel like doing that before the week is over.

hope to be back soon...

We have all been a little overwhelmed with a few things as of late. And Mac and I are still recovering from a week long flu bug that we both got.

It WASN'T all in my head!

When Mac was a few months old, he had extremely bad eczema! He was covered from head to toe with what almost looked like bright red welts. His pediatrician said it is just eczema it will go away when he turns one. I thought it was a milk allergy, so we took him off milk based formula and put him on soy based. It seemed to help a little. We tried a few times to put him back on milk based formula, and it "seemed" like his skin would flare up each time we tried. As he got older it got a little better. As his skin was getting better I got a little more comfortable with him eating things with milk in it. And just recently as I have given him cheese, yogurt bites, and pudding, it has gotten bad again, along with diarrhea. So I called the allergist this week and was able to get him in today. My thoughts were confirmed when just a couple of minutes after they tested his skin, the test spots flared up, he is allergic to milk. They had told me that it would take 20 minutes, it only took 5 minutes. I hate that we will have to deal with this allergy since milk is in everything! But I am glad that it wasn't all in my head. The doctor did say that it will probably go away completely by the time he is in school. But to come back and have him tested when he is three. I guess the new advice on taking care of eczema is daily baths! Yikes, that will take some getting used to. Since we were told by the pediatrician when he was little to limit bathing. So he only gets a bath once a week, and it is usually a quick shower with Dad, in and out. I think I better go buy him some bath toys now, since he is supposed to take a bath for at least 20 minutes, another yikes! Anything for my baby boy! Love this kid!

My Piano Prodigy!

I think he actually knows what he is doing, don't you?

In other news...Hubs was called into the Spanish Branch Presidency yesterday. I am now a Sunday widow!
