Grateful Sunday...

I am grateful...

**to live so close to the coast and get to enjoy the beauty of Oregon.
**to have finally gotten our grass seed planted in our backyard (mostly).
**the the deer have not eaten our garden yet.
**that Mac has been sleeping in past 7am this whole last week, that is crazy late for him.
**that I have such an understanding, patient husband.
**that I can now shoot my camera completely in manual mode. I am getting better every time I use my camera and I am having to edit my pictures way less now.
**that the miracle of adoption blesses my family.
**that summer will start for us in 2 weeks.
**that Hubs has at least 8 weeks paid vacation to use up. That means alot of days off this summer, yahoo!
**for my adorable red head who is so full of life and energy and with his spunky, big personality that makes me laugh and smile everyday.

The coast...

We went to the coast today. We couldn't go to the lake house like we usually do, but I at least wanted to hit the beach and let Mac play in the sand. It wasn't sunny when we got there but it wasn't windy and it wasn't freezing, and that is considered good for the Oregon coast. We played on the beach for a little while then decided to hike up to the lighthouse. By the time we got down from there the sun started to come out but we were hungry so we headed back into town for lunch then headed home. It was a good day!

This is a typical Hubs thing to do at the beach. He digs himself a hole to recline in.

Mac had fun finding rocks to throw in the water.

We had fun digging in the sand with our sand toys.

He liked to find the biggest, heaviest rocks to throw in the water of course.

We explored some caves.

We tried to get a family pictures but Mac didn't want to.
But he was happy to get a picture with Grandma and Grandpa.

I am bananas for this boy!

Mac was sitting eating a banana with Daddy's beany on  and the cute new shirt I bought him and he just looked too adorable that I had to take some pictures of him. I seriously love this boy!

"Eckabator!"

A couple of weeks ago we were on a walk in our neighborhood and the builders asked if the boys wanted a ride on the "eckabator". And I happened to have my camera with me. The boys were in HEAVEN! They were able ride on it for about 15 minutes. It moved all around and dug dirt while they were in it, and they could of  not thought anything else was cooler. I have to say that I thought it was pretty cool too!

Lately...

Here is just a little bit of life lately from April to May. Well I guess that they are more like random pictures, because I doesn't tell the whole story of what we have been doing lately. But it is all I have!

My Dad built Mac a train table and used the little table from when I was a kid as a base. The table top just sits on the top of the table and can be removed for more space and to use the table as a table. I need to refinish the table and paint the train table top and the table. But for now it is being used with love in Mac's room.

Just kicking the soccer ball around the empty lot next door to us.

Just enjoying the sun!

Eating snacks outside.

A typical Mac thing to do.

Smoothie mustache!

When Mac stole Hubs's shoes to go into the garage because I told he couldn't go out there without shoes.

The boys waiting for me to get my camera so we could go on a walk.

Not the best picture, but for some reason I really love it!

We had a warm evening so I put his swimsuit on him and let him play with the running hose. He was loving it!

One of those moments where I was watching Hubs mow our lawn and Mac play in the doorway and thought I AM BLESSED, and I LOVE MY LIFE!

Mac doing a P90X workout with Hubs, so cute!

Welcome to our garden...

One of the biggest things we have been excited about with our new house is to have our very own garden. We almost thought that we wouldn't be able to have one this year, because of us needing a fence to help keep the deer from eating our garden. We decided to go for it anyway. We are in the process of getting our fence put up, but the company doing it is being really slow about it, REALLY slow! In the second picture you can see the fence posts, that is a weeks worth of work and they are still not done. Seriously, we are getting annoyed. Anyway...back to our garden! We decided to try the "square foot garden" method. We have alot in our garden and all I really hope to get out of it all is some tomatoes. We have a couple of different kinds of tomatoes, a couple of different kinds of peppers, so herbs, lettuce, spinach, raspberries, squash, zucchini, and cucumbers. We are still planning on planting some beans, and onions, and carrots from seeds, but we are waiting until things dry out a little so the seeds won't rot. We are very excited and hopeful for a successful garden.
