14 big things in 2014...

We have actually had a great year! We love where we live, we have made wonderful friends and life has been really good. That is until Thanksgiving. And since then has been some of the hardest times I have been through. That is the reason I didn't call this post "top 14" and instead just called it "big things". This next year will be hard, but I truly feel like we have been blessed and that this next year will also bring us some wonderful blessings.. .

We started homeschooling! Mac learned to read and is a whiz at math. And Oak at age four is at kindergarten level for all subjects. We love the flexibility, the time spent together, the learning through fun, exploring and lots of experiments.

Both Hubs and I turned 35!

We sold our first house!
And hope to be in a new house this next year.

Oak all on her own decided to stop sucking her thumb. She was successful and her teeth that were out of place from sucking her thumb went back and you can't even tell.

We celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary and even got to go to the coast for a few days. Unfortunately the coast was raining most of the time and Hubs was sick the whole time.

Mac lost his two top front teeth. It was about the cutest thing ever. It took forever for them to come back in and I loved every moment looking at that toothless grin!

Mac and daddy went on their first official fishing trip together where they woke up at 4am and packed food and all the gear. They had a blast and caught a ton of fish.

All of Hubs family was together at the lake house for memorial day!

Mac caught his first catfish at the lake house. It was pretty epic!

Oak turned four and had her very first friend birthday party.

I took the kids to Crater Lake for the first time! And two more times after that.
Mac especially loves it and while there will constantly say, "I can't believe how blue it is."

I went to girls camp for the first time in 15 years.
It was a blast and I fell in love with it all over again.

The hardest part of our year was losing my dad unexpectedly on Thanksgiving. It has been so hard and we miss him so much. My mom is now living with us and we love having her with us.

And Mac turned 7! He was really sick on his birthday and we were out of town for my dad's memorial service so we had just a small celebration, but he loved it and we love him.
