So have I told you that Mac has been sick with one thing or the other for more than a month. We haven't taken him to church since October, which has been hard because I teach a primary class at the same time Hubs has to be in EQ.
Anyway, He got a flu shot on November 1st. From the flu shot he had a really high fever (more than a 104 degrees) for a couple of days. He had one really good day then it turned into a cold for a few days. Then another really good day the it was diarrhea for about a week. Then he had one really good day then it was back to another cold with a cough for about a week. Then he had one really good day and this weekend he woke up from a late afternoon nap, totally sick with major snot and cough so bad that he was throwing up. Sunday night and Monday he had a fever then he started pulling at his ear, then more throwing up. So off to the doctor we went to find out that his has a full blown ear infection in one ear and the start of one in the other. HOLY COW give this baby some rest (and his mom and dad)! This is so crazy to me, because he was NEVER sick for the first six months of his life, not even a little runny nose.
All in all he is doing pretty good. He has actually been pretty happy when all said and done. He hates taking his medicine so much he sounds like we are trying to cut his tongue out or something.
We are surviving! I just feel bad for our little guy! I sure hope he starts feeling better before his birthday and Christmas.

Julia did that with her flu shot as well. We just got the diaper rash under control. Same thing happened to each of my friends' kids and to a mom I know with twins. Maybe there was something in it this year?
I'm sorry to hear that he is sick! Elijah has the same problem. Ever since he was a little baby, he spends November through March constantly sick. Poor kid! Everyone tells me that it gets better as they get older. We'll see...
I think Ashley is right, there must be something odd in the flu shots this year because even up here all the kids are having a few weeks plus of sickness after the flu shot, and because of that we decided no flu shots in our house this year. Hope he gets better soon, it's so hard to have a sick child both emotionally and physically.
Oh poor boy. It is so sad when the get sick. But they are usually extra cuddly, I can't say I don't like that. Hope he is feeling better soon, and you can all sleep better.
sicky babies = no fun. bummer for you and him. maybe moving to a different climate has something to do with it too. allergies can do some weird stuff.
hopefully he's on the mend though!
That's such a bummer...but just keep plugging along and I am sure he will start feeling better soon. The girls have gotten sick more since we moved here than ever before.

I guess one good thing about living so far away, is that at least I know my kids didn't give it to him. Wish we were around for his birthday. What a SWEET day that was!
Poor thing! Sick babies are just heartbreaking aren't they! I hope he feels better soon!
