Labor Day: Plaikni Falls

So Hubs obviously had Labor Day off and we wanted to do something outdoors. I was really wanting to hike to a falls since our plans to hike Silver Falls last week got rained on and we didn't get to go.
So Hubs found this new trail to a falls called Plaikni Falls up by Crater Lake. (I love living so close to Crater Lake). It is a easy 2 mile round trip hike with a graveled trail the whole way. Oak was not feeling well but really wanted to go so this was perfect.

It was crazy to be driving up in the mountains so high. It was actually freaking me out a bit.

On the way to the trail head we stopped by to see the Phantom Ship of Crater Lake.

Ready for the hike!

Just some cool rock walls on the way to the falls.

It was a beautiful little falls. It is all snow melt so it was COLD!

Mac loved playing in the water and climbing on rocks and stumps in the creek under the falls.

Then the kids begged to go see Crater Lake again because daddy has never been here.

It was a fun day and we are loving our fun adventures around here.
