Sunday Gratitude
Mac and Oak saying "Goooo Beavers!"
I haven't done my "Sunday Gratitude" posts since before Oak was born. I can tell a huge difference in my attitude and I am ready to start back up. I'm excited!
I am grateful...
01. for a hard working husband who allows me to stay home with our children.
02 . for my new Stake assignment to be a Stake Rep for LDSFS. I am excited to help those who want to learn more about adoption.
03 . to be the Mother of my two babies. Even on the hard weeks when Mac is testing my patience, love that boy!
04 . that I took alot of video of Mac the first two years of his life. We watched some today and it was so much fun, and Mac loved it.
05 . that Hubs was willing to watch the kids so I could go to the General Relief Society Broadcast, even though when I got home Oak had cried the whole time and Mac had emptied out an entire bottle of baby wash, half a bottle of hand sanitizer and knocked down our video camera that was actually out of his reach. Thankfully no harm done and it was a good experience for Hubs to have, haha!
06 . for the lingering days of summer that we are having. Although I LOVE fall, I haven't quite been ready for summer to be over.
07 . for my baby girl that LOVES to snuggle, although sometimes it makes it hard to get stuff done. But really I much rather hold her then clean the house (and it really shows right now!)
08 . to opportunity to prepare for General Conference this coming weekend. Oh how I love to hear the Prophet and Apostles speak and to recommit myself to be a better disciple.
09 . that Oak is a pretty good sleeper, so I don't feel so sleep deprived.
10 . for the beautiful little girls that I get to teach in Primary. I so love them!

brother and sister!
My VERY favorite picture!
I attempted to get some good photos of my two babies yesterday. It wasn't bad, but I have alot of practice to do to get Mac to cooperate. He actually wanted to be the one taking the pictures, funny kid!
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Dad!
Yesterday was my Dad's birthday!
My Dad is AWESOME! Seriously! For those that know him personally already know this.
He is extremely talented and will help anyone at the drop of a hat. He gave me my love of photography. He indulges Mac's love of trains and classic cars. He never complains. He spoils my mom rotten. He is a hard worker and has the biggest heart!
We love you Dad and Grandpa!
My Dad was holding Oak and her hand just kindof ended up this way. I thought that it was too precious to pass up a few pictures.

Potty talk and ice cream
Well, I think I can say that Mac is officially potty trained
(although I fully expect some digression at some point).
Last week I worked on it with him the entire week. Both him and Oak had little cold so it was easy to stay home and get the job done. By Friday last week I thought we still had a long way to go, because ONE he had not yet told me he had to go potty and TWO he had never ever gone #2 on the potty. Those are both very important aspects of being potty trained. Then the next day Saturday it was like something just clicked with Mac and he was all of a sudden doing both of those things and he woke up from his nap completely dry.
So we rewarded our boy with a trip to Dairy Queen for some ice cream. And he even sweetened the deal by telling us all on his own that he had to go potty while we were there. He has had a few accidents here and there, but is doing surprisingly well.
I just love these pictures I got of my boys eating their ice cream. They are so cute!
Trying to steal a bite of Daddy's.
Got some!

1 Month old...
Happy 1 Month Birthday to Miss Oak!
*She loves to eat.
*She is getting really good at holding her head up.
*She will turn her head to follow our voices.
*I think she is going to start smiling soon. I can get a little smile out of her sometimes, but I think she is still confused on what it is all about.
*She is a pretty good sleeper and has only been waking up at 2am and 5 or 6am to eat.
*She sleeps alot during the day.
*She loves to snuggle and prefers falling asleep this way, which we love.
*She is so beautiful and we love to just stare at her.

Playing with cousin C!
Grandma and her two boys. C and Mac are only 3 weeks apart.
Playing alligators
Watching the cement truck pour the cement for the driveway next door.
The Temple
On the way home from my Aunt's funeral we decided the Temple was a perfect stop to stretch our legs and feed Oak. Mac was very excited about it. He kept on saying, "Someday when I get bigger I want to go inside." So we talked to him a little bit about that and told him that in a few month he would get to go inside when we take Oak. We also were able to take him inside to the garden. I just loved these pictures I got of my boys!
LOVE my boys!

The Fire Station
This guy is in our Ward that works in at our local Fire Station. He told us to bring Mac down anytime. We decided it would be fun to invite his two best buddies (our neighbor boys). I didn't go because Oaklee had a doctor appointment. So Hubs walked down with Mac and met up with Mac's buddies and their Mommies. I guess they had a great time. Mac still talks about it and it was a few weeks ago. Actually everytime we drive by the firestation now Mac makes sure we know that he went there.
