pink stuff!
Growing up we always called this salad "pink stuff". I don't actually know what the real name of it is (cottage cheese, jello mix, and whip cream). But Mac loves it, and he really shouldn't have any because he is allergic to milk.
So the story of the pictures...
We sat down to eat dinner outside, and I got Mac a plate of food without "pink stuff". He refused to eat his food and kept pointing to and asking for the pink stuff. I kept telling him to eat some of his food, and we had no luck with him eating any. I got him down when we were all done, and within a matter of minutes he had climbed up to the table and started helping himself. It was too priceless to make him stop. I don't have to be a mean mom all the time!
LOVE the look he is giving in this one!
He is saying "mmmmmm"!

another HOT one!
This is how we cooled off last night!
Boy is this boy white!
We did this for a little while until we were being attacked by a bee. Mac thought me dancing around trying to get away from the bee was pretty funny, he was laughing hysterically.
Oh and the nice scab on his forehead is from him spinning himself around and then going head first on the cement when he got dizzy.
Also, this is the new deck that the owner of our duplex just built. It makes the back yard actually usuable now. And we get shade back there in the evenings, perfect!

It is HOT!!!
It has obviously been very hot and very humid!
So Monday night we headed to the river with friends from our branch for some swimming and a potluck.
It was fun and just what we needed!
Mac got dirty, threw rocks, sticks and dirt, splashed and had the time of his life!
And we stayed cool!

My little cowboy!
This kid know how to get dirty! But he sure knows how to look cute doing it!
The benches at the rodeo were filthy dirty, and it was only the begining of the first night of the rodeo.
This is what he does now when he is pretending to be shy.
This kid is NOT shy though!
Look closely at his arms.
His hands at the end of the night!

OUCH!
This guy was SERIOUSLY hurt when he was done. When they walked him out he looked like he was really out of hit, and he left in an ambulance!
Rodeo
We got to go to the Sweet Home Rodeo again this year. It is literally right across the street from my parents neighborhood. I thought Mac would be way more interested, but he was pretty somber the whole time, as you can tell from the pictures. But he did like riding the tractors.
My niece E.
I love how Mac is totally eyeing Cousin E's snow cone!

finally...our Utah trip!
So I have finally gotten around to posting pictures from our Utah trip that was at the very beginning of May. None of the pictures are that interesting, but I wanted to journal it anyway.
The picture above is in a tiny town in Idaho that my parents lived in WAY BEFORE I was born. They only lived there less than a year, but my mom said it was the most miserable place she ever lived. I can't remember at the moment what the name of it was, but they had to go by and see if this fence lined with cowboy boots was still there. And I just had to get a picture.
At a rest area on the drive to Utah, they were pouring cement pads and Mac had to go check it out.

Waiting for Mac's Birth Mother at the Idaho Falls Temple Visitor Center.
Mac and his Birth Mother, "C".
We were lucky enough to meet up with C, and it was so awesome to see her! She is doing so great and loving school all though it is hard. We brought her a big laundry basket of student essentials, I hope her and her roommates enjoyed them.

Not happy to be back in his car seat.
He always has to look at the "babies" on the back of my camera.
Giving the babies kisses!
I love how he is looking at my Dad!
He was obsessed with this magazine. But would only let Grandpa look at it with him, unless Grandpa was not around.
Riding horsies! Mac would wave and say HI to everyone as we were going around.
He loved driving his little cars around and around this coffee table.
Cousin H helping him put on her shoes.
Reading books with cousin E.
This is my handsome nephew R, who plays rugby. Mac LOVED him!
Mac wanted to sit with the big kids.
My adorable nieces, seriously!
