Mac turns EIGHT!

I seriously can hardly believe he is EIGHT years old. Wasn't he just placed in my arms yesterday. Although the day of his birth happened eight years ago, I can remember every detail like it WAS yesterday. It was a very special and humbling experience and memory that I will always cherish. His birth mother is one of the most amazing woman that I know. We love her dearly and eternally.

This boy,..

...is hilarious and goofy. He is still learning on when it is appropriate and not appropriate to be those things.

...can make friends instantly and where ever he goes. He makes friends out of complete strangers at the park, store, church, birthday parties.

...is a wealth of knowledge. He thinks he knows everything, but in reality it really does know and remember everything.

...like to tell stories. Sometimes true and sometimes not true,

...has a huge imagination and creative mind.

...loves all things Legos and Star Wars.

...love his daddy and wants to emulate in him in every way. He always sides with his daddy in every thing.

...loves chocolate but isn't a huge fan of candy. And he loves pretty much any dessert. Especially ice cream.

...loves to go hiking and camping but hates to just go in our yard and play and hates going on walks.

...Is choosing to get baptized.

...fiercely loves his cousins and grandparents.

...can be so helpful most of the time. But watch out when he isn't in the mood to help, lots of weeping and whaling.

...loves to play games and he is good at them too.

,,,loves to bake or help cook.

...is a really good reader now, but still doesn't love to just pick up a book and read it on his own. But you better believe he right there if I start reading a book out loud.

...loves homeschooling, but sometimes doesn't like to put in the effort needed from him.

...is a pretty awesome kid and we love him so much.

Daddy usually takes the day off for his birthday, but he had a meeting he couldn't get out of.

Mac got enough birthday money from grandparents, great grandparents and his birth mom that he was able to buy a Star Wars Lego. He sat on the floor and put it together for hours.

He chose bowling as his birthday activity.

He got some awesome Star Wars stuff from Oak's birth mom.

Daddy usually makes the kids an awesome cake for their birthdays. But Mac plans on having a friend birthday party and we are saving that for when that happens. So I made a cake from stuff he picked out at the store. It was a camouflage cake with mustaches on it.

Then we ended the night with a glowstick dance party.
