This was our first full week home since we have moved in. Crazy. It felt so good to stay home and get some things cleaned and organized.
We were trimming some branches around the bottom of our elm tree and me and the kids made a fun fort with the branches. The kids were in heaven.
This is pretty calm for FHE.
We went to our stake play group for the first time this summer.
We took a bike ride on one of the roads in our country neighborhood.
Just thought this was a sweet picture.
I found to big ziplock bags full of old crayons so we decided to make new crayons from our old crayons. Oak was able to give some as a birthday present too.
Mac practicing memorizing the 9th article of faith. This one has been a hard one for him.
We were heading out somewhere and there was a little cotton tail under our car. They are everywhere here.
Oak got to go to this sweet girls birthday party.
Oaklee had a difficult time with going to bed one night because daddy was gone. (She is going through a bit of separation anxiety lately.) She refused to do anything to get ready for bed. After a lot of patience (and about an hour( she finally got ready but refused to get in bed. She told me she rather sleep outside. I decided to not fight it and helped her make a little bed. Told her that the earwigs will love the company, kissed her goodnight and closed the door. I went and watched her from the window and about two minutes later she came in wanting to sleep inside. A book, a couple of songs and she was fast asleep in her bed. I will take that as a parenting win!
The jackrabbits have eaten our entire garden except for a squash plant and a pumpkin plant. So the kids decided they would make a scare crow. So cute!
Daddy went north to help grandma get her travel trailer moved here. So it was just me and the kids saturday. I usually am a stay home kinda girl. But I just did not want to stay home the whole day and do nothing. So I took the kids hiking by myself. We looked up trails before we left and found a great one. We didn't hike the whole thing and I really want to go back and hike it again.
The first part of the hike was a bit steep, but he rest was great. Thankfully the trail wasn't going down that steep part behind the kids.
We loved this cool bridge.
The kids wanted to play in the creek. But it ended up being WAY too cold to even stick your feet in. Like after about ten seconds your feet throbbed. It was crystal clear and cold because it is glacier water or snow melt.
My Uncle and Aunt were here visiting and had to leave early on the train so Mac woke up really early to make everyone eggs. He was so tired. He ended up getting in trouble later on and went to bed early and was sound asleep by 7pm. TIRED!
