Both Hubs and I had headaches (still do actually) and we weren't planning on doing much. But the kids wanted to eat their dinner on the deck, which then led to splashing in the water that has collected on the patio table (see photos), which then turned into playing and digging in the dirt in the empty garden bed, which then led to running through the sprinklers fully clothed (all activities done by our kids, not us). Which then led to baths which for some reason consisted of ALOT of human/body made bubbles (if you get my drift). Once clean and dried and in jammies, there were snuggles on the couch watching Wallace and Gromit while eating popcorn.
The best part of all of this was that our adorable, red headed, four year old did not whine, complain or throw a single fit the entire evening (we have yet to see how bed time goes, crossing fingers for that one).
I think my favorite part of this series of pictures is the adorable faces made from all the fun. Oh, and Mac's bed head, swoon!
