Grandma's, allergies and pre-halloween dress up...

The kids love Grandma C's bonus room. It is so cozy up there, I don't blame them.

It was pouring down rain outside so we hunkered down to watch a movie.

When we were at Grandma C's house she helped us with some homeschool. Although Mac was being a turkey about it. We love that Grandma is now retired that we get to see her more on our visits.

Grandma was watching cousin EB and she wanted to get in on the homeschooling too, so we did a little color matching activity for her.

EB was watching Oak very intently. It was adorable.

They had fun playing ball with EB and the look on her face after she through the ball.

We were blessed to be able to visit with Oak's birthdad. It had been awhile since we had seen him. It was a very good visit and we got to meet his girlfriend.

Just a cute picture Oak drew. Top is Oak and Mac, bottom is Grandma, daddy and me.

The kids rocking out. Oak gets really into her pretend play like this.

We did our yearly visit with the allergist and decided to have Mac retested for some of the tree nuts he had previously tested positive for. And as you can see he was negative. We are so happy, that he may be growing out of his allergy. He still may be allergic to pistachios and cashews (we didn't test him for those) because he tested the highest for those before. And those are a common only allergy with tree nut allergies. We will test those next year, but those test are payed for out of our pocket so we didn't want to do very many.

Oak got to go with Grandma on a date and pick out some new dresses. When we finally got home, Oak went right in and tried them on on. Here Mac is helping her button the back up.

One of her new dresses.

She loved it so much she got up and put it back on to go to the dentist and to the homeschool center. It was also cold so she added so leggings. It is a battle I am not willing to fight.

We got to the homeschool center early, so the kids were sitting in the hallway talking. it was cute. These kids have become such great friends since we moved here. We will be so sad when they move probably in the next year.

I decided to buy a pumpkin and of course Hubs jumped in and cooked and pureed it. My mom (who has been really into baking bread) made a few loaves of pumpkin bread and Hubs made some pumpkin pie. YUM!

Since we were our of town on Monday (one of my laundry days) when Thursday rolled around (my other laundry day) I had way too much laundry to do. It takes forever to get done when this happens. Which is the reason I do laundry two days a week.

On Thursdays when I babysit, we always do a craft. We made these adorable owls out of the pinecones we collected on our walk last week and some acorn we collected on our road trip. They turned out SO cute!

My mom's pumpkin bread.

Oak drew this map of our house. You can even see the gun club at the top of the picture that is right across the street.

This is what our spelling lesson looked like on Friday. He was actually doing his work with out complaint so I let him be a bit goofy. He rolled on the floor while going over flash cards. And he drew a picture for each of his spelling words.

All dressed up ready to go to the downtown trick or treating. Mac was actually dressed before I was even awake. He was excited.

Cuties!
I have so great pictures of them I will put into their own post.

Farmers market downtown. Grinding some grain.

We ended up seeing our old neighbors from our town house. They moved over a year ago. The kids got along so well. The kids were so excited!

This was Mac's favorite part.

Mac playing with my phone.

He makes me happy. Sunday naps and holding hands.

Sunday gratitude...forty-three...

I am grateful...

...for the Sabbath day. I really appreciate the opportunity to fill my cup for the week, to focus my thoughts and energy on the Savior and to just slow down for the day.

...for a new week. I always love the thought of a fresh start to do and be better.

...for our home. And that it is big enough for all of us to live comfortably.

...for my husbands hard work to provide for his family. I know it is a great burden, but he loves us enough to carry it for our family.

...for the blessing that come from having my mom live with us.

...to live in a place where it is mostly sunny. It makes the cloudy days more bearable.

sick, crafts, and some videos...

I had a friend recommend these books by Julia Cook. So I looked them up at the library. They are the best books. My kids have loved them. They teach about life skills and how to deal with them.

She wore this scarf for a few days.

We are working on telling the time on a clock. Found a fun free app on the ipad.

She wanted bangs. And there is that scarf again.

We decided to go to the park and play but when we got there we decided that we wanted to go on a long walk first. It was so great.

We took all the bottles and cans to the bottle return. The kids loved putting the bottles in.

She had a bit of an attitude this day.

The kids have been obsessed with Perler beads. Mac made the four star wars ones on the left on his own. And Oak made princess leia. So awesome. The kids refuse to use a pattern.

A few years ago when I started making food from scratch, I started a recipe binder. It was pretty trashed and NOT organized at all. So I finally finished updating it and making it organized and pretty. My mom loves it.

I was sick pretty much the whole week last week. I am lucky enough to have my mom to help out and I got to lay in bed for a whole day while I tried to get better. I ended up watching all the Back to The Future movies.

I was surprised to see that in one week it was going to be this date. (which is now today).

An activity I printed for Oak and the other little little girl I watch on Thursdays.

Mac really likes doing these so I found one he could do.

The Thursday craft we did.

The was the aftermath of Oak experiment. This is her life. She is just a very messy girl because of her creative mind.

Saturday it was raining and both kids ran outside to enjoy it.

Silliness with daddy.

Our stake had a family history fair. They even had a ton of fun activities for the kids. Our kids had a blast.

We headed north for a couple of days. I dropped my mom off at her friends and Oak just looked so cute!

We went to my SIL's to celebrate our nephew turning 18. Crazy that he is that old. He is an awesome guy!

Uncle J is the fun Uncle. My kids LOVE him.

Oaks awesome experiment.

Mac reading an owl book to his owl.

And this boy has some pipes!
