friends, family and fun...
We did the normal school on Monday and then left Tuesday morning to head north. We had plans to visit friends, my in-laws, an allergist appt for Mac, and helping my parents move out of their house.
Visiting our old neighbors who are still really good friends. That is our old house in the background. I sure do miss our house and neighbors and neighborhood and yard. (But we love where we are too!)
I hope these two are forever friends!
They are so cute!
Visiting friends at the fire station. You know just eating candy in a fire engine.
My favorite fire engine there.
And some fun halloween stuff from friends.
We had such a fun visit with Grandma Cammy.
I think Mac won everytime.
Oak beat me!
For about 30 minutes they played doctor with this giant bear. It was so funny and cute to watch. At one time it had babies and then a wild animal ate them or something so Mac says, "It is having it's second helping of babies!" My MIL and I were cracking up.
They always want grandma to read them a book.
The next morning before we had to head into town to do to Mac's doctors appt we snuggled on the couch and watched a movie. Oak was extra snuggly.
Mac's allergist appt went great. It was just a yearly review with the doctor to make sure everything is okay and to get a new Rx for his epi's since they expire every year.
We were waiting for grandma and grandpa (my parents) to come down from their house for lunch. We hung out at the mall for a bit. The kids loved the whole disney section at JCPenney. Oak found some Anna boots and she kept on posing for me. Mac totally bombed this photo.
Once we got to my parents house I helped them as much as I could with getting things moved to their storage unit. The kids loved playing in the boxes!
The kids thought it was funny to lay down and go to sleep where the bed used to be.
Before we left the kids had fun "fishing" in the mud puddle.
When we got home Mac was talking about adding 60 plus 60 so I was showing him how to add it. It totally caught on to adding double digits with in minutes.
Then daddy thought that if he could add that then he could learn how to "carry" with double digits. And guess what?! He caught on with in minutes. This boy and math totally click. It amazes me!
We also worked on costumes.
While we were playing skip bo the kids thought it would be fun to put every single one of Oak's bows in my hair.
Since Mac has been doing so well reading he has been reading a verse when it is his turn during family scripture reading every night.
Our "Happy Sabbath" photo.
And currently this is what I am watching. My head was yelling, "STOP, you are messing up my clean family room." and my heart was saying, "just let them. they are having fun and won't be this little forever." My heart is winning today.
Their fort!
When daddy got home from church we all snuggled on the couch while it was turned the wrong way.
Then daddy fell asleep. Love him!
Then right before dinner we saw a double rainbow right outside our back door. And then we had a nice little discussion about rainbows and the very first rainbow.

silly kids, dentist, science and friends...
Oak came down dressed like Mac.
Both kids went to the dentist and as always did great!
We were getting ready for bed and the kids came downstairs dressed as each other. It was pretty funny.
Mac's aquarium!
The cleaning fairy DOES exist!
We spent a whole day cleaning for homeschool (life skills) and Oak dressed like this for the day and she is such a great helper because she likes to feel grown up.
I made a goal to do Oak's hair everyday. I was so proud of myself for this one. I am terrible at french braiding and I thought it looked really good.
One afternoon we wanted to watch Toy Story and we ate popcorn and Ovaltine.
Mac doing school work. He just looked so grown up.
We invited some friends to come over and make flubber with us.
Friday we went to Ashland to the science museum and it was so fun to go with friends.
These circuts were fun. I would love to make a set for us.
The kids loved the bottle rocket.
Then we went outside and ate lunch and played for a few more hours. The kids didn't want to leave. It was such a blast.
Oak loved these bears.
Saturday morning we went to Big R (the farm store) and Oak found this hat and horse and she is now asking Santa for the hat and mom and dad for the horse.
Daddy's big pumpkin fell out of the car when he opened the trunk and it broke in half. So daddy decided to make a pumpkin pie. And boy was it yummy!
My adorable kids before church. They had their primary program and they did great. It was Oak's first and I think a first for Mac actually sitting reverently.
When we got home Mac was laying down and Oak got down and started scratching his back. It was really sweet.
Dressing up silly!
