Being silly.
Monday was a fun school day. We learned about shapes and had fun with our shape blocks.
So we started listening to Story of the World and the kids loved it. We happened to have a Usborn World History book that went great with what we were listening to and the kids found this activity in it to make a shaduf like they talk about it in SOTW.
Our shadufs.
We kind of randomly figured out how to make these and the kids were obsessed for a few days.
Oak's birthday card she made me.
A picture she made for my birthday.
She just looked so cute in her cowgirl hat and her purse on her elbow.
My birthday dessert! YUM!
Oak's pattern.
My friend brought this to me on my birthday.
All my siblings call me Ben. It would be weird if they called me anything else.
See the kids were obsessed.
Out cute new chicks. 7 more of them. Which makes 17 chickens, yikes!
Lots of playing in the mud and dirt. I can't keep the sink clean. It looks like this all the time, especially since this sink doesn't drain well.
Mac's dragon.
I found them one morning when I woke up playing so nicely together.
Then when I got out of the shower, I found them like this.
This girl is constantly listening to music and dancing. ALL.THE.TIME.
When we got the new set of chicks we took the bigger chicks out to the coop. They loved it.
Oak really wanted to do some math.
Mac has figured out the art of when he wants to read a book that Oak is looking at and he doesn't want to wait his turn he will just ask if he can read it to her. hahaha.
Our wood guy stopped buy to see if we wanted to buy some wood. We are trying to get stocked up for next winter with some nice dry wood. Mac jumped right in his truck with his work gloves and got to work. I wish he would be that willing for the work I ask him to do around the house.
He unloaded and handed off every piece of wood.
Just a cute girl.
We found signs of spring.
Oak with the new flower crown I made her for Easter.
The kids with their Easter baskets. The kids were so excited for the Easter bunny to come I heard them at 3 am giggling and then I was woken up again at 6 am with a "HAPPY EASTER!"
He looks so grown up!
But still goofy!
Dying our eggs.
An egg hunt in the yard.
Oak watching womens conference with us.
Oak's hasn't slept through the night in five months. I am a little desperate if you couldn't tell. We have finally made some progress and about half the nights in the last week and a half she has slept through the entire night in her own bed. YAY!
They looked so adorable in their Easter outfits.
