happenings and things Mac...

happenings...

  • We went to our Stakes annual breakfast at the park. About 90% of the people there were from our Spanish Branch. It was also at Alton Baker Park on game day, so it took us more than 20 minutes to get there instead of the less than 5 minutes it usually would. But the food was so good!
  • We then went up to my Aunt and Uncles house for their annual corn feed. My uncle has the most wonderful garden every year without fail. I managed to not get one piece of corn because it went fast. But we did bring some home and had some for dinner the other night and it was so sweet and yummy!
  • My mom watched Mac while Hubs and I went and did a session at the temple. It was the first time for me in over a year, very sad. It felt so wonderful to be there and I was in tears by the time we were done because I felt such an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my blessings.
  • I am back teaching in Primary, which I love. And I am teaching CTR 7 which I have taught before. The kids were wonderful and I also have a team teacher, which will be wonderful. Having this calling also makes me feel like a part of something, since I was kind of feeling a little lost at church not knowing where I belonged.
  • We celebrated my Dad's 70th birthday! Wow!
  • My mom and I went up to Portland and joined the old card group we were a part of in our old Ward in Fanno Creek. You can see the cards that everyone made and brought HERE. Everyone did a great job. It was way after Mac's bedtime so he was not a happy camper, and was super fussy the entire time, except when he was playing his game of "head bonking" with Rose.
  • I took Jessica's Senior pictures (see below) and I had so much fun taking them. And although they were a little on the blurry side I really like how they turned out. We are going to take some more this weekend. Jessica also kindly took the picture of us above. I think it is a pretty cute picture, even though Hubs's hair looks a little on the fluffy side (he woke up from a nap right before we left to the park).
  • We are going to go to a fun dinner at a good friends house this weekend with some other really good friends. I am really looking forward to that.
  • We finally got to see all of our pictures from the Temple taken by this awesome lady and I can't wait to get them and print them and hang them on my wall.
  • We are going to try to go a whole month without spending on unnecessary things. So far so good. It is actually very liberating! I read an article about doing this in Readers Digest and I thought that it was really interesting and intriguing enough to try.
  • Hubs finally got our computer fixed (temporarily for a few years). I can now view and edit my pictures, sometimes. Hubs spent every moment he could on it last week and we were both going nuts over it. But it is now usable and that is all that matters. And I really recommend to EVERYONE that you purchase and external hardrive. It is worth every penny. We bought one a few years ago, (it now has over 18,000 pictures on it) and I don't ever have to worry about losing my picture, or videos, or any of our documents.
things Mac...
  • He is learning things at lightning speed right now and it is so much fun!
  • He will shake his head when you ask him to.
  • He loves to play a game that we call "head bonking" where he wants to hit his forehead with yours over and over.
  • He finally slept through the night for the first time since we moved from Montana. From 7pm to 5am, that's through the night, right? I think that this is because we finally got some night time diapers that are better absorbent and he is more comfortable. We will have to see how tonight goes.
  • Mac can wave and say "bye-bye"! His first real word! My mom kept on saying yesterday that he could say bye bye and I just blew it off to the fact that he just says that sound all the time. But this morning when Hubs was leaving for work, we told him to say bye bye and he waved his hand and actually said "bye-bye"! I was so excited I could hardly contain myself!
  • He is up on his hands and knees all the time, it is too darn cute! He sometime goes up on his feet making a little upside down V with his body, it is really funny. He sometimes gets a little hopping action going too which makes him move a little bit, but not crawling that way yet.
  • He is really loving to crawl under and through anything and everything, even if he doesn't fit, what a goof ball!
  • He claps his hands when ever you ask him to sign something, most of the time. He can sometime sign "all done" correctly and he knows not to sign "more" when he doesn't want and more.
  • I also entered him into the Gap casting call. I was too late though to enter the cute one of Mac in the tree with his Gap hat. I already had the max number of pictures entered, too bad!
  • He loves to open and shut almost anything that does so. His favorite is crawling into his closet and spend a good 10 minutes opening and shutting the door.
  • He loves to blow raspberries, or in his case, spit raspberries. I think he does this for the pure enjoyment of making a complete mess with his spit.

That's a super cute picture of you guys!

You have been very busy it seems like. Picnics, dinners, temple, parties. Dang girl.

Well I couldn't help myself and put my new favorite picture of Easton into the gap contest. He has never even worn anything from the gap. Oh well.

I'm glad yo love your calling. I teach the 7 year olds too.
