Our hot water is BACK!
When we got home from dinner last night with some friends, our hot water was back. I was jumping up and down and screaming in excitement. Hubs thought I was acting a little crazy. I decided to take a shower right then because I was afraid that the water would go cold again. And I was able to get my dishes done. Yahoo!

No hot water????
Thursday morning when i got in the shower I noticed that the knob for hot/cold was way over on the cold side, and I was wondering why Hubs would have taken a cold shower this morning before work. So before I turned on the water I moved the knob to warm (not hot), and when I turned the water on it was scalding, and the knob ended up where it was at when I got into the shower. (So I guess Hubs wasnt so crazy, well maybe!) I didn't think much of it for the rest of the day.
So Friday morning, Hubs got up to take his shower and I stayed in bed and thought that I would go back to sleep. But Hubs didn't stay long in the shower and then I heard him go upstairs (Our living space is upstairs and bedrooms are downstairs.) and I was wondering why he wasn't in the shower long and then was going upstairs in his towel. I asked him what the heck he was doing, and he said that we had NO HOT WATER!! He had gone upstairs to the garage to check the breaker, but the problem wasn't there. He was not happy about not getting to take a shower.
So I ended up calling our Landlord and he came later in the day and spent three hours (4:30-7:30pm) working on our water heater. Hubs and I felt weird just sitting around while he worked, and we couldn't go anywhere while he was here. But we suffered through it.
So then I woke up in the middle of the night (sleepless like I normaly am.) and checked the water, and it was freezing still. I was frustrated because I have some towels I want to wash in hot water and I have my dishwasher full of dirty dishes needing washed plus another load full in my sink and on my dishrack waiting to be washed in hot water also. When Hubs woke up in the morning, I asked him something about a reset button on the hotwater heater, and what ever it was that I asked him he wasn't sure about.
So Hubs decided that he just could not go another day without taking a shower so he decided that he was going to take a cold shower (ok, so he IS crazy enough to take a cold shower.) I told him that I would heat some water on the stove and he can take a sponge bath, but he wanted a shower! Okaaaay! And I thought that this would be pretty funny. So he got in and he kept trying to say "This is cold!" But he could hardly breath so his words were so broke up, you could hardly understand him. His shower lasted less than two minutes, and I don't know how he lasted that long. And then I ended up heating water and washing my self up that way. I think my way was better.
So this morning (Saturday), I had Hubs call our Landlord back and tell him that our water is still cold. And he told Hubs that he would be over later with a new thermostat for it. The Landlord then called back a few minutes later and had just remembered that there was a reset button on the waterheater and that he had forgotten to reset it (how convenient!) So Hubs reset it and I am still waiting for hot water, I think I have to wait a few hours.
I sure hope it gets fixed today, because I want to take a real shower before church tomorrow. I don't want to have to call someone to see if we can come over a shower and take all of THEIR hot water.
I guess, to be continued...

CPA Exams!!!
We just found out today that
Hubs has passed his last CPA exam!!! Yahoo!!!
Hubs passed all four of the CPA exams the first time. I read on the internet that only 10-12% of people who take the exams pass all four the first time.
I am so proud of him and his hard work and accomplishments!
He should be completely cerified pretty soon. He already has his one year work experience under a CPA, so all that needs to be done is take a small "take home" Ethics exam and then have his CPA firm pass off on his certification.
Congrats to my amazing husband, Hubs !!

Mylie on the go!
We got to have Mylie for a few days. She was so much fun, and she is such a happy little girl!
I am really excited because she is starting to add the correct word to her signs. (One of these days I am going to have to try to take pictures of her doing her signs.)
Mylie doesn't sit still for anything, the second you set her down she is on the run. You ask her to come here and she is off running the other direction. You go after her and she is off running the other direction. She is starting to get better about holding our hand when we are walking, but the second we stop she can't wait to let go.
One of her favorite things to do is dance. And boy does she have the moves. She will snap her fingers, sway back and forth, and stomp her feet. She steals the show where ever we go.
She likes to say Hi to everyone where ever we go. She can tell the people who pay attention to her and the ones that don't. When someone is paying attention to her, her greeting is hands over the eyes for peekaboo, and when they are not paying attention to her she says HI over and over until she can get their attention.
Her hair is getting really long and it gets curlier every day, I can never decide whether her hair is cuter in pigtails or down and curly.
If you couldn't tell, we love this little girl like crazy, and wanted to share a little about her.

I missed the shot I wanted. The second right before this she had both of her arms out too while balancing on her head.
The new "crocks" that Grandma Wilma bought her.

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow 4 inches!
When we got up early this morning it was snowing, but
Hubs thought he would try to go to work anyway. He got a few miles and the car wouldn't make it and he couldn't get past all the jack-knifed cars and trucks. So he turned around and came home. He has spent most of his day working from home, but we did manage to find some time to play in the snow. We decided to take a walk and then when we got back we decided to build a snowman. The snow was so powdery and dry that it was really hard to pack the snow, it would fall apart almost immediately. We also ended up in a snowball fight, or more like snow throwing fight since the snow wouldn't pack very well.

Mylsia at 18 months.
We can hardly believe Mylie is now 18 months old. She is so darn smart. (I think we can say that because she isn't our own child.) She is really good at using her sign language correctly and she is really good at copying words. Our favorite words that she says are..."Googill" (Goodgirl), "ayou" (thankyou), "bye-bye", and the best "No No".
We found Mylisa sleeping this way one night. We didn't think it looked very comfotable with her foot sticking through the bars.
