The Adoption Triad

I submitted a photo for this project a few years ago. It is one of my all time favorite photos of Mac and his birth mother. It was right before we were to take him home from the hospital when he was just barely one day old. You can honestly feel her heartache and love for him just looking at the photo. It is close to the begining of the video (I  think at 1:01), but honestly all the photos along with the music just pull at my heartstrings and remind me how blessed I am to be a part of adoption.

CHOSEN

July is a very special month in our home. It is the month that we celebrate being "Chosen" for both of our children. Both of those days are etched in our minds forever!

There is one thing that never ceases to amaze me when it comes to building families through adoption, and that is the hand of the Lord. He is so mindful of us all and of our joys and sorrows, our wants, needs and desires, our good and our bad choices. We are quite aware of how the Lord has orchestrated our lives to bring not only our children to us, but their birth families.

On July 24th, 2007 we found out that a beautiful young lady had chosen us to be the parents of her unborn baby. I have already told the story about that day on here so today I wanted to share with you part of Mac's birth mothers story. The part of how she chose us.

"...Then came the time to choose parents for “Peanut”.  At first I felt like maybe the caseworker should just pick one, however he explained many women feel more comfortable in their decision if they make it themselves.  So I got online and started looking at couples from Montana.  I didn’t want the hassle of inter-state adoption laws.  There were about a dozen couples or so from Montana.  Right away the names "B and B" stood out to me.  I clicked on their profile.  Looking at their picture they looked like the ideal couple.  I read their profile and was really interested in the fact they had large families.  I thought that would be good for “Peanut” to be able to be raised around his cousins, in case the opportunity for him to have a sibling wouldn’t happen.  To keep things fair, I looked at the other couples and read all their profiles.  I wrote down each couples names so I could pray about it in the next few weeks.
Day after day I would pray over each individual couple waiting for some prompting or feeling about each one.  I was starting to get frustrated because I wasn’t getting any answers.  That morning I had read a talk by Richard G. Scott about receiving answers to prayers.  He instructed that sometimes the Lord lets us make our own decisions and then he can approve or disapprove.  So I got down on my knees and prayed:  “Heavenly Father, I would really like "B and B" to be Peanut’s parents.”   I had this amazing peace and comfort come over me which I couldn’t stop the flow of tears.  I knew that He had approved of my decision and I was so grateful for that confirmation.  I called the caseworker to let him know I had made my decision, hoping that they hadn’t been chosen by someone else as I had taken a few weeks to decide...."
Every time I read this, my eyes fill with tears.
Mac will know how he became our son. He will know that he was not just given away, but he was loved so much that his birth mother took her time and prayed about the right thing for him.
It was all for him!
C is such a great example to me in all that she does. She takes my breath away with her love and passion for life and the gospel.

~~~
On July 1, 2010 we awoke to the news that once again our prayers would be answered and a beautiful young lady and a brave young man had chosen us to be the parents of their unborn baby. Mac would get to be a big brother! I can't tell Oak's story, but I quite literally get the chills every time I think about it. It once again was a testament of answered prayers and that the Lord's hand is in it all. And how important it is to listen to the spirit.
Oak's birth parents are amazingly strong and I am in awe of the choice they made for Oak. And not only do they love Oak, but have shown great love for Mac too!
~~~
How blessed I feel to experience adoption and motherhood.
And all because of the strength and braveness of others
and the love of our Heavenly Father.

I shared this video on Facebook last week, but I wanted to share it on this special day here.

it is all about LOVE...

I love adoption with my entire heart and soul!
And to have an open adoption makes it a millions times better than that!
We had an amazing evening tonight. Mac's birth mother C came to visit us! We have not seen her in two years. I can't even begin to explain to you how much my heart burst with joy when this beautiful young lady walked into our house and I was able to give her a hug. This little boy of mine is one lucky little guy to have such an amazing birth mother. And I can't believe how lucky we are to have her too!
I had actually been pretty nervous about seeing her again. I wasn't sure how Mac would act or react. But it all went more than perfect! We had been talking to Mac about her coming to visit all week and he seemed excited. Today when Primary was over he jumped out of his seat and ran to me and asked excitedly if it was time for C to come to our house. When it was just about time for her to arrive he stood at the little window by our front door and waited patiently. And when she finally came he was screaming with excitement and running up and down the hall. He was a little shy at first but quickly warmed up to her and her boyfriend J. He loved every second with C and would have liked to have kept her all to himself in his bedroom. He didn't leave her side! As they were getting ready to leave and C was in the bathroom. Mac asked me where C was because he wanted to say "I love you" to her. I about lost it. He gave her hugs and kisses and I was the happiest Mama at that moment so grateful for the grand blessing it is to be Mac's Mother and to watch him with his beautiful birth mother. As they were getting in the car he kept on saying "Bye C!" over and over and then when they drove off he got really sad and kept on telling us that he didn't want her to leave. I am in tears right now just thinking about it all! I am grateful that we are able to teach Mac about where he came from and who and what C means to us.

This day will definitely make my list of best days of my life!

Thinking...

Today I was thinking about us taking Oak to the Temple on Saturday. And then my thoughts turned to remembering the day we took Mac to the Temple and the feelings I had that day. It was such an amazing a beautiful day and I have many precious memories that I will always cherish. But by far the most amazing part of the day (besides actually having Mac sealed to us)  was after the sealing when we were in the Atrium with all of our family, friends and Mac's birthfamily and C gave me a big hug and said the most beautiful thing to me, "I am so happy we both got was we wanted most!" Just thinking about that now brings me to tears! I have been so humbled on so many occasion by our beautiful C. She amazes me in every way! What she wanted most was for her son to have an eternal family, and although it was at a great cost to her, she was able to give him that. And what I wanted most was to have children added to our eternal family. And we had finally been blessed with that beautiful gift on that day after more than 6 years of trying to make that happen.

C is a big part of our lives, although we have not seen her in almost two years. She means so much to our family, and we love her as much as we love our Mac. She has BIG things ahead of her, hard and amazing things. We are so proud of her and we literally pray for her and thank our Heavenly Father for her EVERYDAY. I love that Mac knows who she is, that he came from her, and that he gets his red hair from her and that she LOVES him and that she feels blessed by him. We miss her like you wouldn't believe. When I think about how long it has been since we have seen her, it brings me to tears. I want to hug her so bad! But it makes us happy that she still includes us in her life, even while it is moving forward. We are so grateful that she lets us know what is happening in her life. And we love her more than words could ever express!

WE LOVE YOU C!

A jewel in my crown...

One of my favorite things to do is go and check on Mac before we head to bed ourselves. Sometimes I like to linger a little longer than just to check on him. There is something about our own babies asleep, that is so magical, and that brings out my gratitude for this beautiful little guy in my life. He has filled such a huge hole in my heart since he came into my life two and half years ago. And that hole was meant just for him, no one else could have filled it. He is the little one that made me a Mother (from the arms of his Birthmother), and the wait for him was worth every heartache, every tear, every moment of despair. He was so worth it!
I also know that Mac's Birthmother C feels the same way on her end, she has told me many times that Mac is such a blessing in her life. I know she feels that all those moments in her life that brought Mac into our lives were worth it to have him in her life.
Something in my Patriarchal blessing that has always stuck out to me, even before I was married, is a part that talks about me being a Mother. It literally brings tears to my eyes every time I think about this phrase... "Your children will make up the jewels of your Eternal Crown."
Mac is definitely my little jewel that I wear proudly as his Mother, and I can't wait until I receive the rest of my little, glorious jewels.
The wait for their added shining, beauty in our lives will most definitely be worth the wait!

He'll know...

...where he came from.
...She sacrificed for him.
...people make mistakes.
...that repentence is possible.
...he is loved by two Mothers.
...She loves him.
...who she is.
...her by name.
...he was not abandoned.
...he was not given up, but given more.
...he has blessed Her life.
...to not be ashamed.
...his story is special.
...he was/is wanted.
...what adoption is.
...that adoption is about love.
...that he is not the only one.
...he is a miracle.
...he is our son.
...he was meant to be our son.
...that Heavenly Father has a plan for him.
...he is a child of God.
...no one is perfect, except our Savior.

And because he will know all of this, he will grow up stronger and happier.

Two years ago today...

A beautiful, red headed, sweet baby boy was born
to a beautiful, amazing young lady who only wanted the world for her baby boy.
We watched as tears streamed down her face while she held her precious baby.
She sacrificed an amazing amount, all because she loved Mac!

Adoption is a miracle, a blessing, a gift!
All of which made us Mac's parents!

McCoy ~ TWO years old
Today he is TWO!
And our most precious GIFT!

Meeting "C"!...(Mac's story~Part 5)

Mac's Story Parts 1-4

Meeting and getting to know our Birthmother.

After initially talking to C, I knew that I wanted to meet her as soon as possible. Hubs and I together wouldn't have a chance to meet her together for at least another month. I did not want to wait that long, so I called her the next week to see if we could me up that week for lunch (she only lived an hour away from us). She thought that was great. So the day I headed to meet her, I was completely terrified. But the moment I walked in the door of her work I was completely calm and it felt like I was seeing an old friend that I hadn't seen in a very long time. C walked right up to me and gave me a hug. I seriously thought I was dreaming.

We ended up jumping in her car and heading to her apartment. She really wanted me to watch the ultrasound video that she had for us. We watched it together as she showed me her favorite parts and showed me what I was actually seeing. I was watching our baby that we had waiting so long for. It was incredible to say the least. (You can imagine how many times we watched that video before Mac was born).

We then headed to lunch where we were able to ask each other a lot of questions. This was both awkward and exciting. Awkward because I am socially retarded and my thoughts don't come out of my mouth how I would like them to, and also because I hate to poke and prod at peoples personal lives. And exciting because I was learning more about this amazing young lady sitting in front of me, and I felt so privileged to be chosen by her.

I was able to learn about why C chose adoption for her and her baby. I learned what she wanted and didn't want for her baby. I learned how she came to choose us and that she knew that this baby was not hers and she really felt that Hubs and I were his parents. I was learning a new aspect of the Atonement that I had not yet before seen with my very own eyes. I was awe struck with C's faith, knowledge, and testimony. I was so happy to learn that her parents were very supportive of her, because all Birthmother's need that, and I didn't want C to be alone in this experience.

A couple of weeks later both Hubs and I were able to meet C again so that Hubs could meet her. Hubs said that the instant he saw and met her he knew that she would always be in our lives. And I felt the same way.

We met up several times over the next months. Sometimes both Hubs and I and sometimes just me. But I am ever so grateful for every moment we spent getting to know C and her getting to know us.

hearts full of gratitude!

Mac turned ONE today! For some reason, I have really been dreading this day. Not in a negative way at all, but because I want my baby to stay a baby! When I go and check on my sleeping babe before bed, I am scared I will wake up to a 15 year old Mac who hates me. I also just can not believe I have a one year old. I can't believe that I waited for this day for so long, and now it is here and gone. (I am crying as I write this)! Also as the days go by, we get further and further away from the amazing and beautiful day that he was born and placed in our arms. And I NEVER want to forget one second of that day. I have still yet to get it all done in writing, but for 12 months I have gone through every detail in my head EVERY single day. I remember how my heart was so full and yet so heavy (those who have adopted their children will understand that). I just can't help but think of our sweet, beautiful C on this day (and every day). She gave the best birthday present to Mac that will last FOREVER. And although it was not her main purpose in her decision, she gave us the most precious gift we could ever ask for. (still crying!) Our hearts right now are just so full of gratitude for infertility, for adoption, for C, for Mac, for our Savior! Boy are we blessed!
(Wow, If I am this emotional over Mac turning one, I am going to be a wreck on his first day of school! I don't even want to think about that!)
Thank you C for giving us this day with Mac.

"Everything to Me"

Mark Shultz is a christian singer and he is also ADOPTED.
This song brings me to tears!
Although our placement was very different...
C put Mac in his car seat.
We all stood around him and Hubs said a prayer
and we all walked out of the hospital together.
Everyone's lives forever changed!
How we love our beautiful C!

CHOSEN...

One year ago today we got the call that we did not think would ever come. The call that said that we would get to be parents, finally.
The Gift We Could Not Give Each Other

When I was a little girl I held my dolls like children
Dreaming of the day when I'd have babies of my own
When the news was shared with me
That all those dreams could never be
It became the deepest grief my heart had ever known
There's a man who tried his best to comfort me with roses
Promising he'd find a way to make those dreams come true
He did everything he could
To heal my heart but nothing would
And when it seemed that we'd done everything that faith could do
A wondrous gift was given with a phone call straight from heaven
"There's a child that's nearly due that a young girl's giving you"
She gave more than just one life when she made of this man and wife
A father and a mother when she gave the gift
We could not give each other
More than words can ever say
Our hearts give thanks to heaven
Every time we hold this child we feel we hold the world
Words will never be enough to share the way our family feels
But with every breath we breathe we want to tell that girl
Not a day is ever through
Till we thank the Lord for you
And sweetness lingers here
In our thoughts and prayers
You gave more than just one life
When you made this man and wife a father and a mother
And you gave the gift we could not give each other
You have changed our lives forever
Only you and God above could give the gift of love
we could not give each other
A song from the Book "From Gods Arms To my Arms To Yours" by Michael McLean

My cell phone rang on Tuesday, July 24th, 2007, and I did not recognize the phone number so I didn't answer it. After a minute my phone made a little noise telling me they had left a message. It was our social worker, Cary. He said that he would track down Hubs at work. I got a little antsy thinking maybe this was the call we had hoped for, but I wasn't jumping to too many conclusions, I didn't want to get my hopes up. A few minutes later Hubs calls me from work, and said that Cary had called him and told him that we had been chosen by a Birthmother. He gave us her name, age and phone number and told us when the baby was due. He told us to call her and it was up to us how we went forward with the Birthmother and that he didn't really need to be involved. I was kind of in shock, I didn't cry or get hysterical, I just said, OK. I guess this is it.

I waited until Thursday evening to call C. I was a bit terrified, since I really hate talking on the phone. So Hubs and I kneeled down together to pray for the strength we needed to do this. I gave her a call and we talked for about a half hour or so. One thing I remember very clearly her asking us was, "So are you excited?" I couldn't believe that she was so sweet to ask us that. She told me that she was going to find out the next day if the baby was a boy or girl and she was going to have the ultrasound recorded on a video tape for us. She said that she thought that the baby would have brown curly hair and brown eyes (so we have been quite surprised by his red hair and bright blue eyes, which we love). We tried to come up with a good weekend we could get together with her since she only lived an hour away. It wouldn't be for weeks that we would all be able to do this and I was a bit disappointed because I was so anxious to meet her. C called me the next afternoon to tell me that it was a BOY. I was so excited! Except that Hubs and I could not ever agree on boy names, ever.
I called my mom and dad that afternoon. My parents had already planned on coming for Christmas, so I had asked my mom if they were still planning on coming for Christmas, she said yes. So I told her I just got her the best Christmas present and I asked her if she wanted to know what it was. She said yes, so I said "a baby boy". She was a little confused. So I then told her that we were going to adopt a baby boy due in December. She started to cry.
Hubs's parents were coming the next day to visit for a few days. So we decided to wait and tell them when they got there. When they got there Hubs waited till he was ready and told them that they would have another grandson coming in December. They were confused too, and we had to explain that we were CHOSEN by a birthmother to adopt her baby boy. Hubs's Mom was in tears.
I have been wanting to share the comment C left me on Mother's Day (from the blog that I keep for her). I felt like this was the perfect time...
Yay! I'm so glad i got to see you guys! you are the best B! i love you the most! you are definitely one of the best moms i know! I hope you have had a good first mothers day! I have to tell you that I'm so glad that you're Mac's mom. I've been hearing a lot of talks about prayers lately and thinking back, i remember when i first was looking at profiles of couples who wanted to adopt, and as soon as i saw your guys profile, i felt like you were the couple for him. for a couple weeks i had tried praying about it and hadn't seemed to get an answer, and one morning i got on my knees and said "father, i really would like B and B to be peanuts parents" and i just got this woosh of peace and calming and i knew that you were meant to be his parents from the beginning. I don't know why i just told you that story, but i guess I'm just so thankful that Heavenly father had a plan for all four of us before we even knew it. Seeing you with Mac just reaffirms every time that I made be the best choice by giving him to you and you made the wonderful decision to accept him :) I am so excited that you get to move back to be close to your family, seriously that's what i really wanted for Mac was for him to be able to be close to his cousins and grandparents and aunts and uncles. I love you so much! You are so amazing :) Thank you for everything you've done for me...thank you isn't enough! :)Love,C
Yep that's our beautiful, amazing C!
I can't even begin to tell you how I feel when I think about how all of this came to pass, and to finally have our sweet little Mac in our arms. And also the relationship we have with C and the feelings we have for her are just indescribable!
We love you C, more than you can even imagine!
Thank You for what you have done for us, for yourself, and especially for our Mac!
And you are right, Thank You just isn't quite enough!

so thankful for birthmothers...

Yesterday afternoon, Mac and I headed to the WalMart to do our dreaded grocery shopping. As we were heading down each aisle, we kept on meeting up with the same people. There was this one lady, probably in her 60's who kept on commenting on how cute Mac is, and how precious babies are. And she would say something to us every time we saw her. After this happening a few times, we stopped and chatted for a few minutes.

She told me how much she loved babies and how so precious they are, and she was tickling Mac's feet. She asked me if I was from around here, and I said that I lived here. She continued by telling me that her and some of her friends were just at the library getting signatures to help stop abortion. I told her that was so wonderful. She told me how she knew that babies were human beings from the moment they are conceived and that abortion is so awful. (She wasn't being political, she was just telling me how she felt.) I told her that I felt the same way about it and told her that we had adopted Mac. She just lit up when I told her that.

She said that when she was 17 years old she placed her baby girl for adoption. She said that she knew she just couldn't take care of a baby. She told me she never regretted it. She started getting emotional. She said that she told herself that before she died that she would find her daughter. Her baby was born in South Carolina and she found her 37 years later living in the exact same state that she lives in (Montana). She met her and her adoptive parents. And she has a wonderful relationship with all of them now. I asked her if her daughter had a good life, and she said that she did and that her parents were so wonderful to her and that she turned out to be a wonderful woman.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She asked me about adopting Mac and I told her about the relationship we have with his birthmother and she just got all excited about it. She then asked me if she could hug me and she is crying. So we hugged and she told me that she was so glad that she met me.

I went home with such gratitude for our sweet C and her amazingly difficult sacrifice for our amazing son. I am so grateful that Hubs and I have gotten the opportunity to experience the miracle of adoption. We are so blessed to be able to become parents in this manner, I wouldn't change it for anything!

Being a MOTHER...

I feel like my words will not express to you the true joy I felt today. And I can't even begin to tell you how much I love being a Mother. But the best part is I get to be Mac's Mother! I am a Mother because of the miracle of adoption. I am a Mother because of our sweet and beautiful C. I am a Mother because of the excruciating sacrifice she made. I am a Mother because of the life she wanted to give to Mac. Thank You C!
And thank you C for this beautiful gift! Every time I look at it, it brings me to tears. It is so thoughtful and heartfelt and truly shows what kind of person you are. This will always hang in Mac's room and will be one of our greatest treasures!

It has part of the words from "I am a Child of God". And the feet print are ones that the nurses made on an extra piece of paper, when Mac was born, that C got to take home with her.

Mother's Day...

So this past week, I have been having some bitter-sweet feelings about Mother's Day. I haven't been as excited about it as much as I should be with it being my very first official Mother's Day and all. But there is more than just me that this day affects and hurts to think about how hard this day will be for them.

First, I am not getting to spend this day with my Mother. I think that this is probably the first one I have not been able to spend with her in some form. My Mother is one of my best friends. I love getting to spend time with her and laughing with her. And I have really missed that since we have moved so far away! But I love you Mom and hope you still enjoy your day! Happy Mother's Day!

Second, I have been thinking about Mac's birthmother and wondering how she feels about this day. For the most part I think she is pretty OK with it, I know she is going home to spend it with her Mom and she even thought to give me a Mother's Day gift. She is such an upbeat person and she just loves life and all that it has to offer. But deep down, I don't really know what she is feeling. I just pray that what ever pain she may still be carrying may be eased. I know Heavenly Father has so much in store for her and I am always praying that he may shower all his blessing upon her. She deserves the world and more!

And lastly, I can't help but think about all those who will be struggling with this day because they aren't physically Mother's yet. I know how I felt for the last several Mother's Day's and that pain is still very raw for me. I have a hard time celebrating my own Motherhood when there are so many that I know that are dreading this day. And I know there is nothing anybody can do or say that will help ease the pain they are feeling. I want to still go and find a room during sacrament meeting and cry for them (or I can just cry for them now, because I am in tears as I write this). I am always praying that those women will find their baby and receive their miracle. And I know someday they will. I am so excited that this wonderful woman has finally got her miracle (or should I say miracles). But my heart aches for so many that haven't yet!

But, what I am excited about for Mother's Day, is to spend it with the cute little man that made me a Mommy! Eat breakfast in bed (that is all that I wanted for Mother's Day from Hubs). And to wear the cute new dress and sweater that Hubs let me buy today so that I don't have to go to church wearing the rags that I always wear. I will get to feel like a bright, shiny, new Mommy with my new dress and new hair! And also I get to go to Relief Society (while all the priesthood take over all the callings for the day) and eat the traditional, gourmet, made from scratch, not from the box cheese cake that one of the men from our Ward makes every year, YUM!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Sending my love to all the Mother's in my life!

*My Mom, Wilma

*My Mother-in-law, Cammy

*Grandma Gerry

*My sisters, Dana and Candis

*My sisters-in-law, Anna, Jem & Lyndsey

*Hubs's sisters, Shannon & Steph (also my SILs)

*All those who have been blessed with their miracle's of Adoption.

*And all those who are still waiting for theirs!

Guess what....?

This cute guy rolled over today for the very first time!
But of course he won't do it again!I laid him on his tummy for tummy time and walked away for a second to get him some toys and I turned around and he was up on his side then plopped on his back. He was a little taken back by my excitement. I was glad that I at least caught the last part of it. Yay for Mac!

Other Mac news...
When I took him to the doctor this week he weighed 16.5 lbs. BiG bOy! He is averaging about 1 lb every two weeks. At this rate we will have to be buying him a new car seat in two months or so.

We also had his hearing checked out this week, because I just hadn't gotten around to getting it rechecked after he failed at birth. I wasn't too worried because he has been responding just fine, but it is state mandatory and I was feeling really bad every time I saw the commercials on TV about getting your child hearing checked. Anyway he passed!
Hubs has been wanting to try to put Mac down unswaddled, I have been very sceptical of this, but we decided to try it tonight. He was exhausted and fussing so I laid him in his crib and he spent the next hour squealing, chuckling and talking to himself. So I decided to go ahead and swaddle him and he was out in seriously one minute. I guess we will try again next month.
We also had a wonderful visit with C (Mac's birth mother) today! It was great! I drove to Great Falls and met C at the Salon she works at. We brought her some flowers! And she got to show him off to all of her friends. They were excited because the last time they saw him was in the hospital when he was born. C didn't have any clients for awhile so she asked if she could trim my hair which I was in dire need of. Then she got doing that and asked if she could color it. Her favorite thing to do is color hair. So we decided to color my hair a little bit darker. I love it! It also covered up my massive grey hair. It was really fun to see her in action, she is so good at what she does. It was so great to visit with her, I really hope that we can always have such a wonderful friendship. I am so comfortable around her, which is very rare for me around most people. She is seriously the most amazing women, it blows me away! She is so sweet, she gave me a Mother's day gift, which I am saving to open when I am eating breakfast in bed Sunday morning.

Our Amazing Experience...

Our experience this last weekend welcoming our sweet, beautiful Mac into the world was more amazing then we could have ever imagined it. I am not going to share in great detail our experience because it is too personal and precious to share. It was an amazingly spiritual experience that brings me to tears every time I think about it.

But I will share a few things with you...

"C" and her parents welcomed us with open arms. We sat with them for a few hours before Mac was born. And we loved every second we had with them. Her labor went pretty quickly. And soon after he was born they came and got us from the waiting room. As soon as I got in there the nurse handed him to me, and soon after that Hubs got to give him his first feeding. We then got to go with him to the nursery to get measured and put in the isolete to warm up. Late that evening "C" and I went to the nursery to watch him get his first bath and foot prints. After that we went back to our hotel and tried to sleep. The next morning we went back to the hospital to check on everyone. And then we got to spend more time with "C" and her family. Later that day after he got all of his tests they discharged everyone. We all signed some paperwork so that we were able to take Mac with us. We then said our goodbyes in tears. And we all walked down to our car together. And then we took him back to our hotel, and then drove home the next morning with him.

My love for "C" grew even more after this experience. I can't even begin to tell you the deep love I have for her (and her family). It has taken a couple of days to not break down in tears every time I think about her.

Update...

I talked to "C" tonight and she had alot of good news for us. She went to the doctor this week and she is dialated to 2.5 and effaced 50%. I am thinking that that means it could be anytime. I am hoping for this week. She also gave us some good new in regards to the father and that we shouldnt have any problems with him and the adoption finalization. She is also going to come and see us on Sunday, I am really excited about that. She sounded so good and happy on the phone, it made me feel really good.

Please continue to pray that she may feel comfort and peace in her decision. And that this sweet little baby boy may come soon and safe!!

Our Angel "C"

Our Birthmother "C" is truly our Angel. We had a great visit with her this weekend. We went miniature golfing and got ice cream at Baskin Robbins. We were able to just sit and talk with her and ask her about things she likes and what she like to do. And just really get to know her. We felt like we could have talked to her all night. And I didn't really want to leave. And today I was really missing her. Her tummy isn't very big yet but she said that he is moving around. She made a really sweet comment telling us that he wasn't moving around much today and so she told the baby earlier that his mom and dad were coming and to move around a little so that we could see that he was really in there. It melted my heart! We are so excited to have this sweet young lady a part of our lives forever. And are so grateful for the amazing, unselfish gift she is giving us and her baby. We are so excited for this little guy to come, we can hardly stand it!
I kept on forgetting to take pictures so I only got one of C putting.
