Just some random for the week...

My Mister came into Primary to just visit (he's in Bishopric and in charge of primary) and Mac got up and sat by him. I just thought it was so cute them both sitting there in their suits. Handsome boys of mine.

Grandma C got Oak this stuffed chicken for her birthday. Isn't it so cute!?!

Mac has loved watching the Olympics. He's not really a sports kid so it is fun to see him enjoy watching.

She wanted to have a tea party with me.

Some friends of ours were wanting to get rid of their electric piano and offered it to us for FREE. Heck yes!

Our biggest, normal and smallest egg. The biggest is a double yoker and the smallest the size of a large marble had no yoke at all.

Oak finally got in her last horse back riding lesson. She was pretty hesitant (because of her fall), so her teacher just let her lead the horse and groom her.

School supply shopping and the kids insisted I take a picture.

My hubby loves to garden. Here is one of his oversized radishes.

Oak the chicken whisperer. Gloria just layed like that until Oak picked her up.

Oak turns SIX!

Oak chose bats as her birthday theme (love!), going out to breakfast to Black Bear Diner (her favorite restaurant), playing at Lake of the Woods and pizza for dinner.

Mac always loves to help decorate for her birthday the night before. My kids always look forward to our tradition of balloons on their bedroom floor and streamers on their door.

Woke up to her presents and she wanted to open them immediately. Which was 6;30am. Anything for the birthday girl.

Her in her birthday bat shirt. I have a tradition of getting her a special shirt to wear for her birthday.

Playing with her new legos she bought with her birthday money.

Mom and dad got her a big box of crayons. She was so excited and has loved using them.

When we went to breakfast we told them it was her birthday and they brought out her breakfast with a candle and a song. She loved it but was a little embarrassed.

Lake of the Woods.

Oak's birthmom came to spend the day with us.

Of course ice cream as we were leaving the lake.

This kid is pretty well know to always have food on his face.

Her bat cake.

Oak at SIX...

We gave Oak this bracelet when she was born and we gave both her birth mom and birthdad necklaces that match.

This girl is all spunk...

pretty sassy...

she is gorgeous and absolutely beautiful inside and out...

She loves to get dirty and play hard...

She prefers to wear dresses or skirts...
and wears size 8 to 10 depending on the brand and style of clothes.

She also loves pretty things and acting like a princess...

She has an amazing memory and remembers everything we have ever done or seen...

She looks, acts and talks like she is much older than she is...

She loves music and has said that music helps her to think. She would be happy spending her entire day listening to music.

She is a lover of animals. Especially her pet chicken Gloria. She insisted that Gloria be in a few photos.

She will spend hours outside playing with Gloria.

She is loved by everyone who knows her.

Some other things about our girl...

-she is getting a pretty quick wit and will say some of the funniest things to get a laugh.
-she lost five teeth while being five.
-she can read pretty well but still needs a lot of practice to be able to start reading books on her own.
-she is a boundary pusher.
-she is really creative and loves to create with her hands.
-she loves her stuffed animals and still prefers them over dolls or toys.

Mac's baptism...

Mac turned eight in December but we felt he wasn't quite ready to be baptized. He has really wanted to get baptized and we finally felt like he was a bit closer to understanding the decision. So on August 6th he was finally baptized.

We had so much family and a few friends there to support him.

Mac and his grandma's.

He loves these cousins of his!

Oak took this picture with her new camera. I love it!
